How has this worked in your relationships? I'm going out with a Virgo that's been interested in me for a while, and the synastry is not pretty! Both his Merc. and Mars square my Moon and Merc. Thanks! IP: Logged |

That sounds a bit argumentative. How is it working out? It doesn't mean the clanging chimes of doom. It could be a testing aspect you both learn to use to fulfill your personal potential. That is what relationships are often about. IP: Logged |

Hi CapnSag, The Mars moon square can be a bit tough. It depends on placements and other factors in your chart as to how it might play out between you. Moon opposite moon can work...but it also depends on other factors. Usually one of you has to be willing to adopt the other's lifestyle although it's not necessarily in sync with yours. It depends on what that lifestyle is and how comfortable you are with it. I dated someone that I had this aspect in a long distance relationship, and it was great...til the question of ME moving there came up. I think I was OK as long as "that's your life, this is mine." As soon as I would have had to bring his world home and give mine up, I realized it wasn't what I wanted. He's fixed and I'm mutable, so his lifestyle changing wasn't an option. As a matter of fact, my life "stage" has changed many times over the years and his is exactly the same! We're still friends after 23 years though...long distance friends! LOL! 8th IP: Logged |

Let's see...I had Moon opposite Moon in my longest relationship: 7 years. The thing is, we lived in different cities for 4 and a half of those years and then lived together for about 2 and a half and then it ended. Of course, it didn't end because of 'Moon opposing Moon' but that was surely a factor, however small. I have a Taurus Moon and he has a Scorpio Moon and he would hold his feelings in and refuse to share them. The more he did this, the more frustrated and demanding I got about communicating and then he would subsequently hold back even more. Vicious circle.I have Moon square Mars natally and I just met someone who I have this with in synastry. I tend to think that if you have the same challenging aspect in your chart that you have with someone in synastry it can definitely soften it. After all, you are probably more used to and aware of the energy of that aspect. I would say with the aspects you mentioned that communication will be a big deal for the two of you. Make sure to be very clear and balanced as much as you can when you talk and that should mitigate the energy. Communication is the most important thing anyway. IP: Logged |

Any aspect between moons is great. A close friend of mine has her moon exactly opposite my moon and we a very natural pair. Very yin/yang and feeling like two parts of a whole. In general, my experience has been that oppositions are not bad in synastry when they involve the same planet, sun opp sun, moon opp moon, etc. They are more challenging when they involve dif planets like mars opp sun. Thank you for all the input! The way it's working out for us, is that I always feel I have to say things a couple of times, because he doesn't seem to 'get it' the first time...I don't feel understood right away, but then he gets it. With our Merc. square too, and with that, I think there's uncertainty about where the other stands, from words. I really miss, and seem to need, that conj. between Mercs and Moons. I felt so understood with that aspect with a past bf! IP: Logged |

I had mars square moon with somebody almost exactly, both at 16 degrees. I was the mars although it felt the other way around.IP: Logged |

Moon in Gemini really, really irritates me. I'm moon in Sagittarius, in the 3rd, & Sun in Gemini. The Sun-Moon conj, nor affinity does nothing to help 'cept attract them. The Leo suns were cool though. IP: Logged |

@Dani California! I'm really intersted in your moon aspects with your OH, as I am moon in Aries and someone i'm interested in has moon in Libra. What is it like to have moon in Libra? How do you react/interact emotionally? How is the chemistry between libra moon and aries moon? What are the interactions like? What kinds of traits (for each sign) do you notice most? (e.g. is aries moon more hot-headed, more argumentative at all? are you always the voice of reason?, etc)
