I came across a page on Cafe Astro that talks about comparing your Solstice planets to your partner's natals. Two books are referenced, but there isn't a lot of other info as to the accuracy. She sites only one example. http://www.cafeastrology.com/synastry_compatibility.html When I calculated these points for myself and some past and present relationships, I was pretty much floored. Whatever they are, there must be something to them. For example, my current SO "to be" and I have: *My Solstice Sun conj his natal AC (1 deg) *My Solstice Chiron conj his natal AC (0 deg) *My Solstice AC conj his natal Moon (2 deg) *My Solstice Moon conj his natal asteroid of his last name and Valentine (2 deg) *My Solstice Pluto conj his natal Saturn (0 deg) *My Solstice North Node/my Solstice asteroid of his last name/Solstice Valentine conj his natal Venus and Jupiter and my Solstice asteroid of my name!(5/3 deg) *His Solstice AC/Psyche are conj my natal Sun/Chiron/Saturn (1,2,5 deg) *His Solstice Sun is conj my natal Saturn (5 deg) *His Solstice Moon is conj my natal AC (2deg) *His Solstice Venus/Jupiter/Isis is conj my Sun/Moon midpoint, my natal asteroid of his last name, my natal North node, my natal Valentine and opposite my natal Mars and natal asteroid of my name *His Solstice Juno is conj my natal Saturn (0 deg) *His Solstice asteroid of his last name is conj my natal moon (1 deg) We have some tight connections in natal synastry, but this is...WOW! There is actually more, but I'm curious to see what you all find with your own synastry!
Here is how to calculate: http://www.cafeastrology.com/solstice_points_antiscia.html

Antiscia are awesome, especially in synastry.I am very inclined to treat them as some kind of "conjunctions". As far as I know they are also used in horary astrology. Paul Blashke relates the Antiscia in synastry even to karmic relationships, maybe even a hint of Twinsouls, especially in connection to IC, Nodes or Vertex, if I remember it correctly. Music-Man and me have an absolute exact antiscia-conjunction between his Neptune and my Moon with only 6 minutes of arc. Well, that explains a LOT, doesn`t it? EDIT: To spare you some work: "First, display your chart. Then find in the URL where it says mth= followed by some letters and then a &. Now replace those letters before the & with mr, so that it reads mth=mr Then press Enter. The antiscia and contra-antiscia are not listed in the chart drawing, but you can find their positions in the additional tables." I found that description on the astro.com forum. DD

Hey DD!What is the name of Blashke's book? I think I need to order it! That Neptune/Moon conj sure does make sense! What does Blashke use as allowable orb? I tried adding the mr in place of the mth, and although it changed the chart, there were no antiscia listed in the additional tables. I hope I can figure it out cause I hate doing math! LOL! 8th IP: Logged |

Eighth Moon, the book of Blashke has the title: RElationship Analysis. It certainly is worth the money. WEll I needed some time to get used to his style of writing, but once I delved into it, I got really hooked with it. Funnily, it is the one I was reading on the concert, when I almost bumped into musicman. lol I don´t remember which orbs he recommends, but I guess they were pretty exact; preferably 1°, even though I tend to use up to 2°, but not more than this. Regarding the math, after setting your chart up and changing the link, have you doubleclicked on additional tables? It worked fine when I did it.
However I had a look at Musicman`s and my antiscia`s(within 2°):
his Sun solstice conjunct my Jupiter his Venus solstice opposite my Psyche his Venus solstice opposite my Lilith his Mars solstice opposite my Pluto (and his Pluto is also square my Mars - oucch) his NEptune solsitce opposite my Moon his Pluto solstice opposite my Chiron his Karma solstice conjunct my Psyche his Karma solstice conjunct my Lilith his Chiron solstice conjunct my Chiron - yes, as if we needed some more Chiron action. *sighs* With another SOMEONE: his Venus solstice opposite my Saturn (0°001) his NN solstice conjunct my SN his Vertex solstice ocnjunct my Mars his Vertgex solstice ocnjunct my ASC his Eros solstice opposite my Pluto his Psyche solstice opposite my Moon his ASC solstice ocnjunct my Vertex his ASC solstice conjunct my Eros IP: Logged |
