This is one I have in Aquarius, the big man is the Sun, I'm Mars. It works well as we understand each others need for freedom and space. Actually he has Sun CNJ Saturn. He is a away a lot working. In another life I would have married a sailor. IP: Logged |

ooh thanks guys.. we have this in aquarius too. i can feel that it is really good for giving eachother space. he's busy a lot and i don't really mind. i really admire what he's busy doing. so i guess that's the dynamic, hey? mars = DOING, and he activates my sun with what he does. i actually feel really really energized and excited about my life by him. like i really relate to what he DOES and i love it and it makes me want to do more with my life!we also have the conjunction going the other way, except my mars conjuncts his sun by about 6 degrees. not as strong, but i guess it still counts. so is it usually an aspect of attraction? who's more attracted, generally? Hey Heart Cakes! Long time, no talk! I have this in a double whammy with my SO, as well. Like you, the conjunction of his sun on my mars is a little wider, but I still think they make a legitimate conjunction, especially since we're dealing with the sun (in which case orbs can be a little bigger). It's hard for me to say who feels it more, because we've got the double whammy. I think the attraction is DEFINITELY there with this aspect but, again, it's hard for me to interpret the aspect in general terms because it's one of our major ones. In my case, my sun conjuncts his mars in Capricorn in his 8th house and in my 10th house conjunct my MC. His sun conjuncts my mars in Aries on the ASC and, because it's Aries, mars is also my ASC ruler. As far as giving each other space, I don't know. Maybe that has more to do with the sign and the house placement. I like to think I give him his space, but it's been a bit of an issue...mostly because he's not always good about telling me he's gonna be unavailable for a day or two! lol I don't have a problem with it as long as he lets me know and I won't imagine him dead in a ditch somewhere! (Sorry, that's my moon talking!) Okay, ehough about me... I think, if nothing else, the aspect definitely provides lots of energy. He literally brightens my day!!! Good luck with everything! ------------------ Sun - Capricorn (10th House) Moon - Gemini (2nd House) Mercury - Sagittarius (9th House) Venus - Aquarius (11th House) Mars - Aries (12th House) ASC - Aries IP: Logged |

I have this with 2 coworkers.. one 37 the other 20.. I have strong attraction to both of them. I think they both hold an attraction for me as well. the 37 year old prolly thinks Im too young. but I know if I was 21 she would def. go out for drinks with me. we socialize whenever we get a chance and enjoy eachothers company.. the 20 year old has a bf.. but she gives me this look sometimes that sais she thinks Im amazing. she has a wide eyes innocent look. Im thinking cancer Ac.. anyways.. they both are Aries and prolly makes the attraction cause there suns sit in my 7th house conjunct My Mars. IP: Logged |

Does Sun opposition Mars (exact) in synastry work more or less the same way? And who feels it more?IP: Logged |

It's not going to work in the same way. An opposition is two energies at opposite ends of the chart, not at the same place. The nature of the opposition is to force a balance. Bad example here but my mother has Sun in Leo, Opposite my Mars in Aquarius. Obviously, being my mother, she likes to tell me what to do. But it doesn't sit well with Aqua Mars. Aqua Sun is more in tune and is less inclined to boss Mars about. Some signs and planets in conjunction are going to work less well together than others. It could be that it is more testing than an Opposition in the first place. And of course the whole chart together is going to give a complete picture. IP: Logged |

Thanks Blue Moon! Makes sense, definitely! BTW, Sun is in Libra, 12th house (Sun rules the 10th house), opposite Mars in Aries, 1st house (chart ruler). IP: Logged |

Arnicka I thought it was the Mars who was inflamed.. Blue Moon.. like I said I think she might find me too young.. she makes efforts to talk to me.. but idk its hard to tell. as far as I know we are just aquaintences who like eachothers company.. but then again she does seem to be going through a midlife crisis. she had a divorce within the last year or two and they way she is making it sound is she is just doing her own thing out having fun.. she is in amazing shape I guess she runs a spin class at a YMCA. since the having drinks is out of the question maybe I ask her to give me a lesson in spin cycling or whatever it is

Devious. I have friends nearly young enough to be my sons. An age gap wouldn't put me off getting up to naughties. I'm married though so it's hypothetical. IP: Logged |

alright, so wouldn't BOTH mars and sun be strongly activated, considering both "planets" are very powerful and energetic? i'm assuming, though, that it would be felt slightly differently for each. i just can't quite intuit how.sexuality aside (darn ) wouldn't mars maybe feel that he is being recognized and admired for his drive and what he believes in? and therefor, would the sun be then feeling inspired and like her life, in general, perhaps has more of a boost? like a general excitement, or like she's more understood? i dunno, cuz i think of the sun as a GENERAL sense of self, being the ego, or how one ultimately views him or herself. so would that mean that we are just ACTIVATED and turned on to our life, more or less? oh and sexually, would it be better for the man to be the mars? i'm guessing probably. unless we're talking about a sun-guy who prefers the woman to be agressive.. (assuming mars conjunct sun, sexually, means mars is more of the agressor). oh and in both of these instances, how does the mars person FEEL the sun person's energy? i'm confused about this, maybe cuz my concept of the sun is so vague and all-encompassing. so many questions!

I like what you said about recognizing the Mars' drive, and the Sun feeling UNDERSTOOD. It sits well with the kind of vibes I felt. In my case, I'm the mars and he's the Sun. One would think that Mars would be the aggressor, but it wasn't... He (the Sun person) was the pursuer, and unabashedly so. One way to look at it is that Mars 'activates' the drives and/or sexuality of the planet person. Or maybe I'm just too shy. But let me tell you, pursuer or not, the Mars person does feel immensely attracted to the Sun person, even though they may not seem be their 'type' initially (translation: you still want to do them ). I didn't act on it, but I did feel it..if that helps. I'm sure if he's the mars, and an assertive one, he'll be feeling this too, and he'll initiate for sure. I read somewhere that in a Sun-Mars conjunction where the woman is the Mars, the Sun man seems to be her 'ideal man' in some way. Not a soulmate scenario necessarily, mind you - more a manifestation of her idea of 'manliness' or whatever... Guess that's where the attraction begins... Enjoy! IP: Logged |
