hmmm

OK so ruler of DC of person A in 1st house of person B?

Well, if l have sun/moon/mercury/venus/mars/saturn in my 1st H does this mean i'm marrying all these men? lol

OK so my 1st husband had taurus on 7th and my venus is in 1st house plus i'm taurus sun/mars.

My 2nd husband was also taurus 7th. My ex boyfriend was also taurus 7th and the guy i'm having dinner with on Friday is cancer 7th and my moon is in my 1st!

I can't lose really

Jane,

"but I love investigating what makes one of them stand out from the crowd for us. What it is that makes a particular individual irresistible to another particular individual."
Yes, exactly. That is what I find fascinating, too. And that is the reason I usually like tight orbs and very individual placements like the ruler-aspects. ONe could say it`s a tad complicated. But in the end we share Venus-conjunct-Mars with a lot of people (which reminds me, I dreamed of ORlando Bloom last night, and his Mars IS conjunct my Venus. lol); however, we can share planetary aspects with many people, but with how many people do we share a conjunction of the ruler of 1st and 7th house?

Also, what does it mean if someone elses Mars is conjunct my Venus, but his Mars does neither rule his relationship-houses nor is placed in one?
In the Orlando-example: His Mars rules his 2nd house and is placed in his 11th house, while Venus rules my 5th house and is placed in my 1st house; so for him this aspect gets a 2nd-11thhouse-emphasis, to me it gets 5th - 1st house-emphasis, which could mean that he would feel valued by me and see definite friend-or fan-material in me, while for me this combination is a bit more personal; also the fact that his 2nd house ruler conjuncts my 5th house ruler, could be interpreted as a rather calm warm affection, more sensual and relaxing than sexually stimulating.

I REALLY t hink a chart starst speaking to you, when you start noticing the house-ruler-layer.

Or in the case of the husband of my best friend; his Venus conjuncts my Mars, but neither of us had ANY sexual interest in each other.
WE`ve always got along greatly, and we understand each other, because we are quite similiar on an emotional level (we have both Moon in Aquarius in close conjunction), and actually in a way I can even help my friend to understand him better sometimes. lol

The Venus-Mars-conjunction falls onto the cusp of his 11th house and is placed in my 12th house.
In his case Vensu rules 9th and 4th house, in my case Mars rules 4th house. So we don`t only have Moon-Moon-conjunction, but also a conjunction of the 4th-house-rulers. There is profound understanding and similiarity, but nos sexual sizzle. (Of course I shall not think about the fact that his 7th house ruler is closely conjunct my 8th house ruler lol).

But the connections between my friends`and his charts are uncountable:
His ASC conjunct her DSC
His Sun conjunct her DSC
Ruler of his DSC opposite her DSC-ruler
Ruler of her 8th house opposite his DSC-ruler
HIs 5th house ruler conjunct her NN
Her 5th house ruler conjunct his Pluto
her 5th house ruler conjunct his 10th-house-ruler

And many many more.

"So I see that your chart ruler, Jupiter, opposes my Jupiter (about 1.5º). Jupiter, as the dispositor of both of our suns, is probably extra important for us. Jupiter rules my 2nd house and co-rules my 5th house."
Yes, definitely important. But remember I am not your posession (your 2nd house ruler), even if you are totally mesmerized (5th house) by me.

"Uranus, your 3rd house ruler, widely conjuncts my ASC at 5º Sco."
I can only agree. You (ASC) make me talk a lot (3rd house).

" And its ancient ruler, Saturn, widely opposes my Venus at 13º Cap. I suppose I have an extra-strength Venus in terms of what I'm attracted to since it also rules my DSC."
Yes, Venus is your personal Venus, too, unlike in my case, my personal Venus is Mercury.

"Your 3rd house is bombarding my ASC and 7th house ruler--no wonder I can't resist."

"Are you implying that a man who had one of those things you listed, including the ruler of his 7th in his 3rd house, would not be a real man? If I were a man, I would take great offense at that since my 7th house ruler is in the 3rd house."
Well, not exactly. Actually the 7th hosue only shows what you want, not what you are (at least on the surface).
If the 7th house ruler is in 3rd house you need a communicator, but not a caveman, like the ruler of 7th in 1st house COULD imply (just one of the possibiliites). Also look, which planet is making the connection, it plays a role, too.
I actually need both a caveman-communicator (Mercury is making the connection for me). It also explains why I am drawn to men, with whom I share all these Mercury-bonds. It`s usually the most aspected planet in synastries for me. But interestingly it`s THEIR Mercury.
WEll, but in a way it makes sense, too. Sinc I also feel drawn to men predominantly with Pisces, Virgo or Sagittarius- ASC, so Mercury is also ruling their ASC, DSC or IC.

Really, it does work even with actors. Heaven knows why I have a soft spot for Orlando Bloom though. He has Aqua-ASC.
Oh now I remember, his MC is in Sagittarius, so Mercury rules his IC: ROFL.

I`m so predictable.

Even that singer I recently met has Virgo DSC and GEmini - IC. lol

But maybe it`s also a family thing.
My Dad has Virgo-ASC with Sagittarius-IC, my youngest brother has Pisces ASC, my middle brother has Aqua ASC with Gemini IC (He is only 2 days younger than Orlando), my Mum has Virgo IC and so on.

I guess it was really written in the stars. Me and the Virgo / Pisces, Gemini / Sagittarius-axis.

To look at your partner pattern and how your partner fits in, you can do it with this system (but here we only look at the aspects of conjunction, opposition, square and antiscia, because they make things "happen", since they tend to force you to pay attention and create a lot of energy; trine and sextile are mostly too soft to really CREATE attraction; they are more acting like harmonious influences, w hich stabilize and strenghten a present connection):

Partnerpattern.

1. DSC:
sign and conjunctions to the DSC
ruler in sign and house
planets in house 7 (also note which house they rule, that will explain WHY they search, what they search: like someone with Saturn in 7th house, needs much security and a rather conservative marriage to feel fulfilled. Why is that so? Let`s say Saturn rules his 2nd house, he needs that firm frame in a relationship, because he feels insecure and needs security, a relationship needs to make him feel valued - 2nd house issues).

You can include aspects to the ruler of 7 or planets in 7, too,b ut maybe they clutter the picture too much.

2.Venus in sign, house and aspects is relevant, too. I think.

3. 8th house:
sign and conjunctions to 8th house cusp
8th house ruler in sign and house
planets in 8th house (and where they come from)

4. 5th house:
sign and conjunctions to the cusp
ruler of 5th house in sign and house
planets in 5th house

The FIT IN, how we know that a partner really fulfills those criterias:

1. Sun and MOon in sign, house and important aspects

2. ASC
sign and conjunctions to ASC
ruler of ASC in sign and house
planets in 1st house

3. 2nd house
sign and conjunctions to its cusp
ruler of 2 in sign and house
planets in 2nd hous

4. 4th house
sign and conjunctions to the cusp
ruler of 4th house in sign and house
planets in 4th house

The DSC relates to the ASC (Venus - Mars)
the 8th house relates to the 2nd house (Mars/ Pluto - Venus)
the 5th house relates to the 4th house (Sun - Moon)

Since both the 5th and the 4th house are placed in the emotional quadrant, they will give more information about the emotional "fit" than the actual attraction pattern. That attraction happens from the relationship quadrant (house 7 and 8) to the pysical quadrant (house 1 and 2).

Of course it makes also sense to see if you have similiar needs in a relationship; then you should compare the 7th and 8th house of both persons with each other.

If you look at synastry aspects, also note in which house they fall and which houses they rule.

Example:
Mercury conjunct Saturn in 10th house and 9th house sound damned unromantic.
But let`s say this conjunction happens in Pisces.

1st person has Gemini ASC, and therfore Mercury is ruler of his ASC.
2nd person has Capricorn-DSC and therefore Saturn rules her DSC.

So, we would have this unromantic MErcury-Saturn-conjunction that is AT THE SAME TIME a conjunction between his personal Mars (ASC-ruler) and her personal Venus (DSC-ruler) - and they would be attracted to each other, you can bet.
Of course the way this attraction is expressed depends on the sign it`s in and the planet that make it. In Pisces it would be a lot more dreamy as in Aries for example.

I applied this system to a writer-couple: Percy and Mary Shelley:

HIs partner pattern:

DSC in Scorpio
ruler 7 in Aquarius in 11th house
co-ruler in Libra in 6th house conjunct Jupiter and Neptune

8th house in Sagittarius
ruler of 8 in Libra in 6 conjunct mars and Neptune

5th house in Leo
ruler of 5 in Leo in 5 conjunct Venus / Uranus
Venus, Sun and Uranus in 5th house

How does she fit in here now?

he has SCorpio-DSC:
her Mars opposes Pluto

he has ruler of 7 in Aquarius in 11th house; Uranus conjuncts 5th house ruler, Uranus is in 5):
So his partnerpattern is definitely very URANIAN
She has: Sun conjunct Uranus and therfore fits here well.
But she also has Uranus in 4 and ruler of 4 conjunct Uranus

He also has 7th house ruler and 8th house ruler in 6th house:
she has a Sun-Mars-conjunction in Virgo, Moon in 6th house and chartruler in 6th house
- she definitely fulfilled his Virgo-needs, too.

He has Venus and Sun in 5th house (a beautiful charming companion to enjoy his time with and find pleasures of all kind was his request ):
She has Venus in Libra in 5, and ruler of 5 in 5

So, it`s easy to see that she fits almost ideally into his partner pattern.
5th, 7th and 8th house demands are all met. He must have been totally gaga about her.

How about her now?

Her partner pattern:
her DSC and 8th house in Cappy

her 7th and 8th house ruler in Cancer in 1st house

Venus in Libra in 5th house
Venus antisica Mercury

5th house has Virgo and Libra
ruler of 5 in 5

Mercury, Venus and Neptune in 5th house

HOw did he fit in here?

Cappy DSC:
Saturn conjuncted his Earthy Taurus-ASC

she wanted ruler of 7 in 1:
Well, he doesn`t ahve too much Mars-energy. But he had a Mars in Libra and ruler of 2 (also describing his physique and especially how he appeared in a sexual relationship) antiscia his Mars

It might have been enough, but didn`t completely fulfill what she was seeking.

5th house: Virgo; Mercury in 5
he has Mars antiscia Mercury and Mars in 6th house
-perfect

5th house Libra; Venus in 5
His Mars in Libra

her ruler of 5 in 5th house
his Leo-Sun, his Chartruler conjuncts Sun in 5
- again, perfectly met

her Neptune in her 5th house:
he had Moon in Pisces in 12th house and also Mars conjunct Neptune

As you can see her 5th house needs are PERFECTLY fulfilled by him, while here 7th house needs are not met THAT well. So I guess to her the emphasis was on being creative with each other, having fun and s haring all kind of pleasures, including the sexual relationship. I guess she liked the "honeymoon-phase" more than the actual commitment-phase, whereas he loved her on all levels.

And now if we look at the synastric aspects of the rulers of 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 and 8?

ruler of his 7th house:
exactly antiscia her Neptune

coruler of his 7th house:
antiscia her Sun
antiscia her 4th house ruler

his DSC:
antiscia her Pluto

his 8th house ruler:
antiscia her Sun
antiscia her 4th house ruler

his 5th house ruler:
-------------

and from her perspective:

her 7th house ruler:
conjunts his IC

her 8th house ruler:
conjuncts his IC

her 5th house ruler:
conjuncts his NN

I decided to see if this rule system might play out in Solar Return charts. I used it for the year I met my ex-boyfriend. We obviously didn't get married in real life, but we did a few times in my imagination.

The ruler of his SR Descendant (Saturn) conjuncted my SR Ascendant (Leo).

The ruler of my SR Ascendant (Sun) conjuncted his SR Ascendant (Cancer).

The ruler of my SR Descendant (Uranus) in my chart conjuncted the ruler of his SR Ascendant (Moon) in his chart.

Also, the ruler of his SR Ascendant (Moon)conjuncted Venus in my chart and the ruler of my SR Ascendant (Sun) conjuncted Venus in his chart. I don't think this last one counts, but it's worth mentioning.

Huh.

my IC ruler opposes his ASC and IC ruler.

his DC ruler conj my MC to the zero.

VEnus de India,

that is interesting about the MC.

I often have found a strong connection from one`s DC (ruler) to the other`s MC, even though the MC is not a particular romantic point.
But it seems to play a huge role; I guess it has to do with the ability to make a relationship lasting and to give it a good foundation and a future.

Love,

very interesting about the Solar Return charts.
I also think that the connection of SR Ascendant and Venus is very significant in romantic relationships.
Even though the 7th house ruler may be a "personal" Venus, I still think Venus has her say in the romance and love-area. But then Venus is ruler of my 5th house, so I probably had to say that.

The ruler of my SR ASC is in Sagittarius conjunct Pluto, Sun and Mercury.
The ruler of my SR DSC is in Sagittarius conjunct Pluto, Jupiter and Sun.
(Actually the rulers of SR ASC, DSC, and 8th house are all conjunct each other).

Since he is only one day born after me, he has basically the same SR placements and aspects.

So I`m not sure if I should compare the SR chart`s with each other. If I did we`d have:
his SR - ASC-ruler conjunct my SR ASC-ruler and SR DSC-ruler.
my SR - ASC-ruler conjunct his SR ASC-ruler and SR DCS-ruler.
And in both cases SR ASC - and DSC-ruler are conjunct SR 8th house ruler, too.

Comparing the SR-chart with our natals:

His SR ASC conjuncts my ASC and NN.
his SR ASC-ruler conjuncts my DSC-ruler.
his SR DSC-ruler conjuncts my DSC-ruler.
his SR 8th house ruler conjuncts my DSC-ruler.

my SR ASC EXACTLY conjuncts his DSC-ruler! (it makes the natal connection even more exact than it was before)
my SR ASC-ruler conjuncts his 5th house ruler.
my SR DSC-ruler conjuncts his DSC-ruler.
my SR 8th house ruler conjuncts his DSC-ruler.
my SR DSC-ruler conjuncts his 5th house ruler.
my SR ASC-ruler ocnjuncts his 5th house ruler.
my SR 8th house ruler conjuncts his 5th house ruler.

interesting planetary connections:

his SR ASC-ruler conjuncts my Sun
his SR DSC-ruler conjuncts my Sun
his SR 8th house ruler conjuncts my Sun.

my SR ASc-ruler conjuncts his Sun, Moon and MC.
my SR DSC-ruler ocnjuncts his Sun, Moon and MC.
my SR 8th house ruler conjunct his Sun, MOon and MC.

Wow, that is much.

"I dreamed of ORlando Bloom last night, and his Mars IS conjunct my Venus. lol"

Lucky you, you get Orlando Bloom! A couple months ago I had repeated dreams about Philip Seymour Hoffman. His Venus conjuncts my Mars.

About your friend, I'm curious, what's her moon sign?

"Of course I shall not think about the fact that his 7th house ruler is closely conjunct my 8th house ruler lol"
Well well, I know who they should invite if they're ever looking for a threesome.

"Yes, definitely important. But remember I am not your posession (your 2nd house ruler), even if you are totally mesmerized (5th house) by me."

You make my Sco-Tau Asc-Dsc cry.

I get what you meant about the "real man" comment now. Thanks. So, a caveman-communicator? You probably enjoyed the "Closer" scene when Clive's character was leaving Julia.

I know what you mean about being predictable in your attractions. As you know, I have Venus (doing double duty as my 7th house ruler) in my 3rd house. And I have Juno in my 9th house, trine Mercury. Every guy I've had a serious relationship with works in education. (Well, one may or may not. We lost touch.) What's crazy is that only one of them had this career when our relationship began. All the others went on to that after our relationship had already ended, so it's not like I was out there deliberately throwing valentines at teachers.

Wow, your family's angles are so mutable! My siblings and dad all have mutable angles. I'm the only one with fixed. My mom's are cardinal.

I find this thread fascinating..

think i have this right?

My AC (6' leo) conjunct his sun (13' leo)
My AC (6'leo) conjunct his solstice ruler/venus exact
My DC ruler/Uranus conjunct his pluto/MC ruler and MC
His AC ruler/Neptune conjunct my Neptune
His n AC ruler/venus conjunct my n AC exact
his solstice ACruler (27'libra) conjunct my solstice ACruler (24' taurus)
his 5th H ruler/moon conjunct my DC exact
my 5th H cusp (6' sag) conjuncts his MC (0'sag)
his 8th house ruler conjunct exact my AC
his co AC ruler/jupiter conjunct my 8th house ruler

Have l got this totally wrong? seems like a lot of aspects!!!

Hmm……this is quite interesting

We have a T-square happening where our 7th house rulers oppose one another and our conjunct Asc rulers form the apex of this T-square.

Our 8th house rulers are also involved in the T-square party.

How would these combinations fit in the romance/ passion/ relationship/family spectrum?

Ruler of A's 4th and 5th house in B's 7th house

Ruler of B's 4th house in A's 7th house and ruler of B's 5th house in A's 8th house.

Ruler of 8th conjunct DC.
Ruler of 8th conjunct ruler of 1st house.

Thanks.
