Well usually an angular mars or dignified mars does well in athletics. I've noticed with swimmers, they either have a watery sun, moon or mars. He has mars in cancer. In the 11th isn't the strongest house but might indicate some level of community recognition/fame for his athletic ability if this chart that I drew up is correct. Mars rules his 8th/3rd. Don't know how 8th would play out. However, 3rd rules short trips/distances. He's shortish distance swimmer. Gemini MC adds speed, merc hovers around his AC. Mars btw is trine jupiter (in the 3rd nonetheless) - adding a lot of energy also squares saturn/pluto. Somehow he must be able to utilise the tension with these two powerful planets. IP: Logged |

Curly upper lip is virgo in action. have to play with the chart but his lower lip is a bit saggy. Maybe jup squ asc. Maybe venus is doing it here for him. Classic male statues are heavily mars, the sharp ad straight nose. He's more of a feminine beauty even though he does have a very straight nose. Its probably the leo coming out as well. EDIT - commentators have mentioned numerous times that he is the most popular swimmer amongst his swim team. Points to a prominent venus of some sort I'd think. IP: Logged |

Ryan has dimples, the pointy upper lip thing (which my family has dubbed a "bird mouth since so many of us have them) and the nose comes down like the other pics you posted. I'm gonna have to go with Libra on this one. 8th IP: Logged |

And I can see the Aqua rising in Phelps. Didn't see what his moon was though... 8th IP: Logged |

Actually his sun is opposite Neptune which would explain his watery tendencies. IP: Logged |

Opps, I meant to point out that Phelps has sun opposite Neptune in his chart which would explain his watery tendencies.IP: Logged |
