girlmercurymust admit - i have noticed that too. i always think of aries and sagi as having a great affinity. especially with merc - both blunt and tactless at times. sagis always make me laugh - so i understand them. but i think you're right because when you think about it sagis can carry off that goofiness whereas an aries probably would have more self awarness or ego about it. PeaceAngel - they really do carry it off! No one can be as spectacularly tactless as as Sag. It's a beautiful thing to watch.... ------------------ Sun:Taurus Moon:Gemini Asc:Capricorn IP: Logged |

"ama Mia i've never thought about it from a parent's perspective. lol - that must be funny at times. i mean, kids are pretty honest and blunt anyway, but an aries merc would be hilarious (and sometimes embarrassing i imagine - having to cover for what they say). my son is aqua merc (5 planets in aqua) so he just blurts his true opinion out - leaving me to pick up the pieces. that's when i'm grateful for my aries merc.does your child bore easily? i suppose all kids are easily bored to a point, but i imagine aries mercs become bored more easily and quickly. i did as a kid - even now. even here, sometimes after i post i don't go back to a thread. this site is fast moving and there's new threads all the time and that really appeals to my aries merc." Yes he does bore easy he has Merc and Venus in Aries and MArs in Scorp so things have to be moving for him constantly..That gets on my last nerves, bc he has Mars in the 11th house and he almost always have to be around ppl friends..He leaves one group of friends at 8:00 and try and get with the kids up stairs at 10:00..Uggghhhhh..He loves ppl and to be surrounded by them..Oh yes he is so blunt and truthful..I tell him all the time watch your mouth.. After reading this thread I feel lucky for the first time that Saturn conjuncts my Mercury in Aries. For a while I thought it was only good for depression, but now I know that it helps to stop "Foot in Mouth Disease" LOL!!But sometimes it can just bring my entire brain to a grinding halt! Literally. Don't even ask me to think or speak because it won't happen. But thank God I'm getting older because that depression is beginning to turn into wisdom. Oh Yeah!! PA...Welllllllllll..... To be honest, i wouldn't consider it "Foot in the mouth" cause I tend to be in my own little word of feeling right or being able to argue my point enough to atleast sounddddd right lol..But I guess so...I agree though...That its more of shoot first ask questions later type of thing. I'm actually pretty quiet, when I speak..people that know me..listen, because I mean it. I'm often asked for advice because I tell you what's "real" not what you wanna hear. But, I definitely have some cringe-worthy moments, when I think back at night...like "Did I say that?" YIKES lolAnd I agree about the Sags...my parents are both Sags...so needless to say I raised myself and have pretty tough skin lol...just imagine..the epic fights during adolescence IP: Logged |

Mercury in Aries in some ways reminds me of Mercury in Gemini. Swift of though, quick of wit, but can be so quick it makes errors likes glaring typos and basic grammar mistakes. And maybe, sometimes, would have benefitted from thinking before speaking/writing. But I have Mercury in Taurus. So I would say this, wouldn't I? Actually that is Square Mars. So really I have nothing to say about foot in mouth. I can be cutting. Easier not to be on a web forum where you can edit and pause before you commit to the page. IP: Logged |

mainlineoh yeah - i get that too - people asking for advice - because they know they'll get the truth. i've learnt to do it with tact - i hope. i learnt when i was younger that no matter how good your information or insight is - if it's presented in a way that puts people off - they won't listen and it detracts from your words or truth. i'm one of those people that strangers tell their problems too. i had an emergency caesarian with my youngest child and was in recovery straight after and the midwife sitting with me started telling me that her husband had just left her and she fell apart. meanwhile, i'm trying to get over the fact that i've been in labour all day only to get to the hospital and need surgery and being immensely itchy all over my chest from the morphine. it was comical - almost - well, yes - it appeals to my aries sense of humour. but i've had plenty of really cringe worthy moments. and i'm sure there'll be lots more. lol. the joys of merc aries. blue mooni really like what you've said about gemini merc. because i think the same thing - but you're the only person i've encountered that can see that. so THANK YOU [bowing to you like "we are not worthy" from wayne's world]. EDIT: yeah, i think with the square definitely cutting. but i think merc in taurus wouldn't have the speed of aries merc but would pack more punch - because when the taurus finally angers or explodes - it's going to be brutal. my mars is in taurus - so i'm quite slow to anger - but then with that aries merc unleashed - stand back. but i don't hold grudges - at all. that's probably more aries sun though. Mama Miai have aries merc and venus and my mars is in taurus. my moon is in aquarius - but in the 11th house. i so understand your child. lol! i need everything to be moving fast. but somehow when i'm focussed on something - i'm fully into it - completely and can't be disturbed. even when my chidren are talking to me sometimes - i just don't hear them. it's terrible. i'm so involved in what i'm doing. friends are really important to me too - and with the link with aqua and friends and technology - my online friends mean a real lot to me. and as a parent - oh, i feel for you. telling him to watch his mouth - from my experience - it takes a lifetime and some very hard-won lessons. Geocosmic Valentinelol - i have days when i can't string two words together. it's frustrating. after spending eight years at home with the kids - i find it hard to have an adult conversation sometimes. any conversation that doesn't involve the colours of the wiggles' skivvies and dora the explorer - it way too hard at times. my husband's saturn is conjunct my mercury. and that grinding halt - that's our conversations at times. what you said about depression and wisdom - i had depression years ago and that's how i came out of it - somehow getting all this wisdom out of it. it was this awakening - like i suddenly came to life and hadn't been there before - and found that i was here - alive and awake. i can't explain it any other way right now - lol - there's that can't string two words together thing happening again. so i get what you are saying. triplepisceslol - i'm a quad aries - sun, asc, mercury & venus (chiron too if you count that). i have very little water (jupiter in scorpio & north node in pisces). i need a lot of water to balance me. i actually love being in water - or the feeling of it falling on me (all my fire needs the motion - lol). i love my showers. not a bath fan though - can't sit still long enough - lol.
