Really, my most inteligent friend and the one who talkes more has a tottaly unnaspected mercury, exept for the moon quintile. Really, he is so talkative that sometimes even I can't afford him.

The thing with unaspected planets IS they can become ACTIVE with a progressions, solar arct and transit, but otherwise it's like having a missing piece to a jigsaw, or square peg in round hole. They seem to swing from expressing this planets energies (due to a passing transit) then go back to not bothering or expressing it...

I really don't think it's powerful, it NEEDS a trigger. I'm sure if you investigated your friends chart with progression, solar arc etc you may find how it expresses.

Another thing to look at is IF this planet has a parallel in declination, that makes an aspect. It's like adding either a soft conjunction or opposition...

So not reeeelly unaspected, but these aspects are generational.

I find that, I do have an inner power, but NEVER feel the need to to power over others. But I do get a lot of peeps powering OVER me. This always throws me for six, as I don't feel equipt to deal with it, it's out of my realm of agenda - I don't see it coming till it's too late.
So, I have gathered over the years and with some analysis that, I feel a personal sense of pure power (as the Pluto is unaspected), so not interferred with by other planets. Maybe others feel threatened? Maybe they project their own power issues on to me, thinking that, I may power-trip on them, or they see me as a challenge, or.... I dunno, I still haven't worked it out. It happens all the time though and usually leaves my life in turmoil and with my head spinning. I mostly go out of my way to help people as much as possible.

People, humph, go figure.

Oh, to add, the reason an unaspected planet is more "powerful", as was the original enquiry, is because it is looking to integrate into the chart. An unaspected Venus to use the example here, will feel an evewn deeper longing for all things venesian - love, connectedness, self esteem issues.... and all that. It will tend to over compensate.

I have an example: I know a guy who had an unaspected Jupiter, he was the jolliest, and most easy going guy I ever knew, at face value. But, behind the initial personality, I could see that there was a struggle to maintain - or rather, not a struggle as such, but a conscious effort being applied. It's like the psyche works to iintegrate the unaspected planet. Takes effort.

Just my thoughts

it's quite rare to have an unaspected pluto as everyone born afer 1941 will have the neptune sextile pluto and THIS is simply generational..

nonetheless just because your Pluto is conj MC it is still considered unaspected as it doesn't make any major aspect to another planet..

I have seen this as quite common really. Also if this planet doesn't present to many problems I would look to see things like parallels and THEN look at midpoints because if THIS planet is conj sun/moon midpoint it will have the strength of these two biggies to help with expressions...

for example I have just researched Ami ann parallels as we all know she has an unaspected venus in gemini late 7th conj 8th house cusp...

NOW I have attached these for visual reference and I will post in PR forum with a link to this thread

now max orb is 1'30"
venus is 20'56"N
jupiter is 20'19"N so these two are parallel, meaning like a conjunction

so anything within 19'26" and 22'26"

so moon is ALSO parallel venus, jupiter, uranus
so this is quite a powerful stellium

saturn parallel MC
Sun,mars pluto are all parallel

obviouslly signs do not come into this, or houses, just aspects

AS I can't post the link about unaspected planets, here is title from that area:

"Unaspected planets in astrology ; detection and interpretation"

Where are considered only aspects:

Conjunction
Sextile
Semi- sextile (?)
Square
Trine
Inconjunction
Opposition

AS some Astrologers use all possible minor aspects, in that case nobody has planets without aspects.

Sorry for bumping this up, but I got so scared whe I noticed my daughter's Mercury was unaspected (her whole chart is very weird almost all the planets in weird/late or 0 degrees).

I thought it meant she wouldn't be bright. Glad to have found this thread . The only aspect it makes is a square to the ascendant o.o

That is soo weird to me.

To have an unnaspected planet it has to be -tottally- unaspected, or can it have one aspect or two?

I have an unaspected Mars in Aries. I am very competitive, even when it comes to small things, and have tons of energy. I have a short temper, and well... just very Aries. It's not all the time, but it bursts out of me, time to time.

For me, having an unaspected mars in libra means being able to keep a level head when everyone around me is panicking or fighting. I'm also good at weighing negatives and positives before making a decision. I don't think this is a bad placemnent to have at all. It balances out the happy-go-luckiness of my sag sun,and the aggression of my leo Asc and aries MC.
