Although many of us here on LL can agree that Magi astrology is a tad too fatalistic (me included) I have been somewhat swayed by their research into Venus and Chiron contacts in synastry and their relationship to marriage.I decided to look into it further on my own, with people I knew. So far I only have birth info for about 7 couples. Here is what I discovered: Venus trine Chiron: #1: M & D = 17 years of marriage (divorced) #2: M & S = 21 years of marriage #3: K & A = 4 years of marriage #4: D & C = 12 years of marriage #5: W & R = 35 years of marriage #6: I & M = 10 years of marriage And then there's my grandparents(#7) ...they have NO Venus trine Chiron, but rather a tight square. They also have Saturn opposite Chiron (Saturn Clash, right?). They were together for 63 years and married for 60 years! They would make out in from of me, even in their 70's and my grandmother used to tell me that she still got butterflies in her stomach when my grandfather walked into a room. Were they a little co-dependent? Sure, but they were very much in love. I wonder what information anyone here has about Venus trine Chiron? And by information, I mean research of their married friends and family. I was so surprised to find that out of the 7 couples I checked, almost all had that aspect. AND surprised that the one couple who didn't was the one couple I would have expected to have it. IP: Logged |

Hmmmmm... I was thinking about it further, and I realized that some of the couples are extremely happy, some are not at all and one couple is divorced.Since Chiron is about healing and Venus is about love/relationships, maybe this aspect is merely indicative of two people who are meant to go through their healing with one another through a formal act (marriage) ? It's sort of a half-baked thought at this point, but it seems interesting to me that although 2 of the couples listed are not happy, they also represent the 2 longest Venus/Chiron marriages I looked at: 21 years and 35 years. Hm. IP: Logged |

LoveDid you look at geo and helio charts PLUS parallels because a lot of the time there is venus/chiron or NEPTUNE/chiron (which is another marriage linkage) in the declinations or heliocentric chart and not in the geo chart! IP: Logged |

Lara ~Good call! They DO in fact have his Chiron trine her Venus in Helio. That makes so much more sense to me now! I figured that if any couple was going to have that aspect, it would have to be my grandparents. Thanks IP: Logged |

And here's another question: what about Draconics? Most of my relationships have had Chiron trine Mars in tropical synastry, in both geo and helio. But in Draconic synastry, with 2 of my 4 ex's, I have Venus trine Chiron. So perhaps I was married to them in another life?? IP: Logged |

8th ~I don't have their birth times unfortunately. And just as unfortunately, I can never remember how to post charts up here which don't almost immediately disappear. It turns out that they have Venus trine Chiron in helio, so that's something. Their birth info is: Grandmother: June 29, 1925, Elmira, Ontario Canada Grandfather: September 17, 1924, Independence, Missouri, US If someone could either post this or remind how to go about it, that would be great! I don't think Venus trine Chiron alone would indicate marriage since Chiron is a generational planet. Like everyone in my generation has Chiron in Gemini, so anyone with Venus in Libra or Aquarius would make a trine to my generation's Chiron (depending on the degrees).Of course, exact trines might be a different story. Also my parents have been married for 23 years and have no Venus-Chiron aspects. IP: Logged |

I agree with you amowls, it's just that in all of my serious relationships (5) and all of my far less serious relationships (many) I have never had that contact with anyone. Not even using a wide orb.Even though I don't buy into Magi astrology hook, line and sinker, I have come to the conclusion that there's something valuable in their research. How much? Not sure, but I'm going to continue to gather marriage info and keep testing it on my own. I'll go back and check to see what the orbs are for the couples I listed. I do remember there being a 0 degree orb and a 1 degree orb for sure. I also remember one larger orb...maybe 6 or 7 degrees... That's also why I was hoping people might go through their lists and see how many married couples they know with this aspect present. IP: Logged |

My mom and dad also have that aspect. Her venus trines his chiron by a huge orb. They were together on papers for 15 years but separated in reality from the first few years into the marriage. A lot of cheating from him and she kept silent for the sake of ...me for a long time. He's hurt her deeply. His Chiron conjuncts her Descendant (opposite Asc) I wonder if this coupling with other bad aspects explains something... His Chiron trines her Venus 8d separating His Chiron squares her Mars, opposite Uranus His Chiron conjuncts her Descendant His Chiron squares her Moon His Mercury conjuncts her IC opposite MC and Moon. His Saturn (and Jupiter) in her 5th house IP: Logged |

Venus conjunct/trine/quincunx/parallel chiron neptune conjunct trine/quincunx/parallel chiron would be a marriage aspect l think IF there were no nasty tight orb saturn/chiron, neptune, uranus, venus square/opposition

I have silly question. How do you check for Parallel using astrodienst. I clicked on the 'View the additional tables (PDF)' for the synastry chart but never saw any..Thanks ahead ^__^ IP: Logged |

The thing that Venus and Chiron have in common is curing. Love cures and nurturing cures. Therefore, if you have a synastry trine involving these celestial bodies, it only makes sense that it would foster the relationship and make it resilient. It could be a refuge where both partners could replenish, since they naturally take care of each other. IP: Logged |
