Pretty much everything ever written about Virgos.

Fastidious, uptight, chaste, hypochondriacs, fussy neat freaks who don't like anything.

Hope you aren't disappointed by this Virgo's response

Triplecancer - you are right, there is good and bad in each sign. I think the problem is that people do have astro-biases and usually people will write in groups like this to get advice for usually a negative situation and then they end up writing about negative qualities of that person's sign who they are having problems with.

What annoyed me personally a few months ago for me is that someone on this website pretty much hinted that I was robot because I was an aqu and it upset me because it negated me and made feel that I was dehumanised. I think everyone is on this website is clearly a human being and its quite terrible for all of us to pigeon hole each other and dehumanise others and ourselves in the process. It's a bit like war tactics when the enemy is dehumanised.

I personally don't think that astrology or any theory can completely explain how a certain person operates or what a human, creature or animal is let alone nature in any way shape of form but unfortunately (IMHO) astrology is used as a categorisation process by people to try and understand another person in a good and bad light (something which I'm sure that I have done myself). Rather a person is somewhat a continuum and this is hard for anyone to grasp.

Enough of my rant. Apologies for diverting the topic. I hope I'm understood.

That Saggies are jolly & cheerful. What bothers me about that cliche is when it's described as an automatic, unpremeditated cheer. But Sag is placed after Scorpio, so it's not some innocent happiness. It's a hopeful choice. I think if you get that about Sag--that the sign is essentially about hope--you better understand Sag joviality.

What I don't like is that people think us Gems are shallow and fickle. NOT HARDLY! We just get bored really easily.

That Leos are very materialistic. This is a misunderstanding of the actual trait--that we're conscious and aware of status heirarchies. Lots of us, while we DO want everyone to think we're important, aren't hung up on things at all.

I get annoyed when people assume that, as a Leo woman, an ideal gift for me would be diamond jewelry. Now, as a Leo woman, I will accept ANY heartfelt gift graciously and also enjoy giving them...but as a socially conscious person, I am concerned about atrocities connected to the diamond trade.

The ideal gift for me as a Leo is not stuff, but TIME with you, where you take me out for a meal (cheap is a good as fancy) and pay lots of attention to me!

I don't enjoy unqualified statements about Capricorns wanting trophy wives. That kind of statement seems to suggest some superficiality, when in actuality we're generally concerned with quality. We don't want to be with someone with in inappropriate sense of humor, for instance. We want someone who can be sufficiently serious when it's time to be serious, and equally lighthearted when it's time for fun. It is true that we don't want someone who will embarrass us.

That all Scorpios care about is sex.
--I am not that shallow.

That we've always got a chip on our shoulder.
--I am too busy concerning myself with the present than to worry about some wrongdoing or perceived slight from the past.

That we're preoccupied with exacting revenge.
--It's always better to be the bigger person and let things go. Everything happens for a reason.

That we're tough ***** who seek to destroy those of a weaker framework.
--We're extremely sensitive (Just think, there's a REASON Scorpio is between Cancer and Pisces-- The "shell" is harder because the "core" is more vulnerable!!), and we're entitled to have feelings too.

Oh, Yeesssss. Virgo. tsk tsk tsk... Where do I begin?

1. That we all get a thrilling rush at the sight of papers that need filing. I have never met a person who "likes" filing, but I have met people who can do it without stuffing it up.

2. That we prefer bleaching the toilet floor with a toothbrush over sex, intimacy and love. Dude, if I choose cleaning the floor over sex, it is a reflection of YOU and your performance NOT a reflection of me and my love of good hygiene.

3. That we are bad leaders, and would prefer to be subordinates than the boss! That is the biggest load of manure. We Virgos like to specialize in our chosen field, and there is a big difference between being a specialist compared to being one of many subordinates. We are problem solvers, multi-tasking geniuses, and we are usually the go-to person when things go ape**** and to be a specialist it takes a lot of work ALONE where we're not being bothered by bosses and being told what to do. We are usually doing some damage control and making sure that operations are running smoothly. If that's not a sign of leadership/management skills, I don't know what is.

Unless being a leader is being boastful and proud, shouting, barking orders at people and getting people into frenzies or frightening people to motivate them... then NO, we Virgos aren't like that.

When I see obsessive-compulsive leaders I immediately think "Virgo." (Like Jeff Lewis on Bravo's Flipping Out show. I just learned that he's actually an Aries.)

blue moon - Thanks. It's for the best if I don't get into how much I enjoy your posts. You'd have no choice but to get a restraining order.

Back on topic, I think it's annoying when a Scorpio influence is described as making someone stalkerish. Dedicating a saving's account to financing a trip overseas to visit the home of a favorite lindaland moderator is in no way stalkerish, it's friendly! And if the visit consists of sitting in a parked car outside her home, taking her picture, keeping a daily log of her comings and goings--all while never actually introducing myself--that's just because I'm considerate of someone's busy schedule. Scorpio is so misunderstood.

OK..... I don't like that people say aries are selfish. I am not selfish! I agree that there is good and bad things about each sign. I also think that waht one person might think is bad, is actually not bad to another. For example.... they say that scorpios are jealous, revengeful and controling. I really don't think that it is all that bad. EVERYONE gets jealous! I think that when someone gets jealous and all it shows that they care about you and don't want anyone to touch what is theirs. I can point out good in all the signs BTW, my dad is an Aqua and I think that they are very smart people! Yes they might not show their feelings but they do feel. I think that taurus are very dependable and loyal. Both of my grandmas are taurus and they are wonderful and strong women. Scorpios get such a bad name but I really don't think that they are all that bad. I do believe that they are pretty loyal to their families. They feel but don't show it as much. They say that they are possessive but I think that it just shows that they care. It is all in the way you do things. Some people take it to the extreme. Maybe I feel this way because my moon is in scorpio. They say that cancers are moody and yes that might be true, my aunt is a cancer and moody is her middle name, but my daughter and best friend are cancers and they are very loving. I think that cancers are very caring and loving and emotional and I really like that in a sign. Ok I can keep going on and on so I will stop............for now

Exactly. It's not stalking. It's profound interest

"Easily hurt" for Cancer. Pfft, we can get over that. What else is the shell used for anyway?

I'm a Libra and the only thing that gets me is the whole "indecisive" trait. Ok fine. Yes, it takes us a while to choose, but come on! We're not that bad

For instance when I go shopping, sure I may go in there for one thing and come out an hour later but that's because I like to find bargains lol. But hey, when we do come to a decisive we stick with it!

Well, my sunsign is scorpio, say no more. You know the rep.

Linda once said that the scorpio will be the sign reticent to admit their sign, while everyone else in the room admits theirs.
I don't think it is the 'air of mystery' or secretive tendencies- I think it's that if you admit you are a scorpio, everyone thinks you are vindictive, vile and sex-starved and that you will steal their man, or be nasty and mean.
I get, more often than not, " Oooh, scorpio-" and they'll make a sort of hissing sound, and back away.

So the above reasons. Those are annoying cliches.
