I ask, because when I look at my natal chart between me and my family (Mother, Father and Brother) there are many contacts which lead me to believe that we shared more...uh...romantic connections in another lifetime...

it could be - remember always that when we talk about the Soul Family we all have,we talk about souls that in each encarnation plays an important role,important karmas to fulfill and that comprehends all kinds of love.

When you see asteroids Amor,Ceres,Union,etc this refers to Universal Love

Romantic Love you see through juno/venus/mars/valentine...

And when you do a Draconic synastry chart between two people, is it indicative to you of where they've been (already accomplished) or where they're going (need/choose to accomplish still)??

theoretically I would say it only works with the rulers in every natal chart.

Like Mercury is ruler of my 7th house, and so only MY ruler of 7th house will carry 7th house-themes into the synastry aspect.

BUT I realized, that in my synastries there are often a lot of aspects to the guy`s Mercury, more so than to mine.

But on the other hand in both case I have been thinking about their Mercury, was ruler of 4th and 7th house as well. So, it`s hard to say.

I`d keep an eye on this, but would focus more on constellations, tied to your rulerplanets.

The rules would naturally apply to the progressed charts as well; maybe they would even be felt more strongly, as the progressed charts signify where you are NOW.
Maybe you will even need those aspects in the progressions appearing as well, so the potential attraction, as symbolized by the natals, will find expression.

The Draconics relate as well to the past lives as to an ongoing soulcontract.
That is true for rulership as well as planets.

In asking about family patterns in the natals/synastry I did understand that there are differences between romantic and universal love. I think I might have mis-phrased the question though.

If I am looking at a regular synastry chart between me and my mother, I will interpret anything 'romantic' differently than I would if doing a synastry chart between me and a partner. But in looking at the Draconics, I would assume that in the case of my mother and I, it is possible we were partners in a past life. I use this just as an example.

I realized that recently I was interpreting Draconic charts differently all the time. Sometimes I would look at the synastry with an eye for soul growth in this lifetime and other times I was seeing it exclusively as past life energy being brought into this life. I do realize that there is an inherent connection between the two, however I have not been totally clear on what I was seeing. If my Draconic Sun is in Scorpio, does that mean I am bringing that energy forth or becoming comfortable with that energy this time around?

So that's why I was curious about how to interpret them, since if I look at Draconics as being relevant to this life in terms of relationships, then house rulerships could also theoretically work this way. If they are exclusively past life histories, then it would make more sense to see current famiy members in positions that do not necessarily reflect their familial positions in this life.

Ok, so what if the planet aspects shared are complete shite but the asteriod aspects are oustanding?

personally I`d like a mix of all three categories.

If you`re in love with someone, I think aspects, which include the romance planets / asteroids might help very much.

For example, if there are only strong aspects which contain KARMIC and SOULMATE planets / asteroids (like for example Moon - Saturn), then you would be probably very close, but not romantically interested in each other.

But it depends on what you are looking for, really.
Aspects between only romance planets like Venus-Mars, Venus-Eros would probably be sizzling and hot, but maybe lacking the depth that could come with a Moon-Pluto-aspect that happens at the same time.

I want to give you one advice.

I am in the Forum with more languages, but at the moment I am not active there.
In the summer 2008 I was also in French language Forum, although my French is worse and worse; I just can’t find the right Forum to practice more French writing.
There was Brazilian woman, was married in France, divorced and now lives again in Brazil.
She has explained my Natal Chart and we became friends.
She wrote a book about Synastry in Portuguese and I have asked her, why not in French? She told me, that she is not that good to write book in French.
We were also in connection over email address.

Now advice to you:

Start and write book about Synastry. You know, that you are very good or better, you are excellent and can write book in German and English.

I have enough Astrology books in German, but they are nothing special. Do it, if you didn't do until now. I would be your first client (buy your book)
