Wow! You've got it serious girl!!! Good for you!!!

My partner has Venus in Cancer (also Moon in Scorpio. If I had been into astrology when we first met, I would have run a mile knowing this. In fact, I did run a mile and she chased me, clinched on with those Cancerian pinchers and hasn't let go since!!!).

Anyway, we got on quite well from the start and a romance of sorts kind of developed.

So putting the Moon in Scorpio aside, which has had a huge impact on this relationship, I'll focus on the Venus influence........

She loves home. She loves doing stuff around the house. (I'm not allowed in the laundry!!!). She loves baking. She knows when all bills are due and on which date. She dotes on her grandchildren. She is motherly which can be a nuisance because I am not her child, I am her partner (and an independent mature one at that - so I remind her at times).

She loves to be pampered with flowers, but if I cook a romantic dinner with a beautifully set table, she will say "The candles hurt my eyes. Let's watch tv and eat. Did you put a whole onion in? [pulls the face]".

If I create ambience in the bedroom with candles, incense, music, she laughs and says "you know candles hurt my eyes. [cough, cough] what's burning? Why is there music playing? We just have to get up and turn if off before we go to sleep"

If I ask for a massage she will give me one for 48 seconds and then say "My wrists hurt"

If I say "Come and have a look at the beautiful sunset with me" She will say "That's nice. Our phone bill is due tomorrow"

After almost 5 years, I still don't know how to bring out the Romantic in her. But she's my best friend and we have gone through some tough times together. She's always there, loyal, dependable and witty.

So, if you stumble upon the Romance Formula for Cancer Venusians, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!

KOIFLOWER - haha, this is really a great description, very vivid - and one senses that you dearly love her, even though "mocking" her "ways" a bit, but: lovingly. ;-)

I am astonished by my Venus-in-Cacner-crush again: After unbearably long 5 (!) days of leaving me "out there" ... he came back (via e-mail) today - and: very sweet.

He didn't make many words, but clearly wrote to me that he had very tender feelings for me - but that he was worried about the long distance factor.

he left it open, by writing these "...." at the end of his e-mail.

So - gosh - obviously he REALLY needs re-assurance - and as a Taurus-Sun with Cancer-Venus and earthy Virgo-Moon he REALLY is cautious and "deep rooted" in his surroundings, not the most "flexible" and "adventurous" type.

I get the feeling that he expressed his longing in a way - and at the same time what holds him back.

Of course I replied to him ... grabbing all my courage ... re-affirming my tender feelings for him ... acknowleding his worries ... and making two suggestions where and when we could possibly meet again this fall... in order to get to know each other better. I didn't allude more, and nothing less - but made it clear that I also think of him often!

In any case: PATIENCE and TENDERNESS seem to be keywords here ... ;-) THANKS AGAIN to you all, for your support!
