Hi Lara,Can you explain (astrologically) why you can't live without man? I know only one aspect: Venus sextile Mars: can live without man, Venus square Mars: always looking for some man. Buena

Buena ~ I have Venus Square Mars. Mars in Aqua, Venus in Taurus (in the 7th house). There's a clash that sums up this thread! IP: Logged |

BM - I could go further into Mills & Boon but I don't want to for fear of hurting people I respect and like. I know what the cause of it all is. IP: Logged |

If it's something you can't go without that makes it a need not a want. IP: Logged |

Blue Moon - no, it's not a 'need' cos sex is a pleasure and l love anything pleasurable! I only need positivity in my life. This includes my kids, health, happiness, family, friends and MEN! It all comes from within and 'within' is not a need. you dig? IP: Logged |

If he did it was at a moment convenient after she stopped her last packet of pills. I was born 2 weeks less 2 years after my brother. Now that's family planning. My mother has Virgo Mars. IP: Logged |

now that i re-read the question "can you live without men?" i guess it's pretty funny, judging by the fact that without men we can't really survive as a species - so i guess we really can't live without them, even if we wanted or tried Men are lovely, i have to admit it, even though sometimes they can be rather aggravating. Nevertheless... lovely :P I know this is pretty random, but whatever IP: Logged |

Could I personally live without a man? Yes.Aspects that indicate this are: Venus opposite Saturn. Venus in Aquarius square Uranus in the 11th house & Sun/Moon=Saturn Could I live without Men in a general sense? No - most of my heros are men as are my favourite musicians, I couldn't survive without music!! IP: Logged |

23 - I'll find the Godzala thread and see what's happening. I've been thinking over this topic some more, and I think what it is with me is that I'm uplifted AND comforted by masculine energy (ie male friends). Maybe my Jupiter (my chart ruler) in Aries has got something to do with this. It also turns out though, that my best female friendships are with women who are either Aries suns or who have some other prominent Aries placement... so it's as though what I really seek out, whether it's from a male or a female, is the Mars energy. Also I think the passion with which I seek and enjoy male friendships could be something to do with my Mars square Venus. It's almost as though my own feminine and masculine sides are in conflict with each other - I must admit that I sometimes feel conflicted or at odds with myself, because on one hand I do girly things like wearing makeup, but on the other hand I shun a lot of other girly-type things (like the Mills & Boon and 'dream wedding' conversations) and would much rather be talking to men. Yes me too, I have the same placement, ie Jup in Aries and am very attracted to Aries people in general. Mind you I am Aries rising but I think you have a point there about positivity. Both of my friends evoke inspiration and positivity in me. For me though, my chart is very masculine. I also have Sun and Merc both opp Saturn, so I am a cold realist with common sense I guess, this is not withstanding that I have a well aspected Neptune (that also opp my chart ruler, Mars). That's why Mills & Boon doesn't do much for me. IP: Logged |

GemLover - quote: on one hand I do girly things like wearing makeup, but on the oth
I think I saw another girl mention that, just the other day. I don't see wearing makeup as girly. I mean, I realize it is socially constructed as that every so often (usually by people who are too focused on the latest media trend), but there is male makeup out there. Actors (both male and female) wear stage makeup (so do models). And since we're on the subject, many makeup artists are men. They're not called "artists" for nothing.. Applying makeup is an art, as much as painting on a sheet of paper. I kind of like the history of makeup and all of THE things you can do with it - from an artistic perspective. Plus - in ancient Egyptian times, it was customary for both men and women! We should switch back to that IP: Logged |
