Ok, how bad is this? I have it in my chart and it's right at zero degrees. Don't really understand it. I've read it can make someone ruthless and cold and I can see that a little, especially in my early 20's. Power vs. authority? Is that what it is? I don't understand it...does anyone else have this? Does having it right smack at zero degrees mean anything at all? Thanks in advance

Found this interpretation by Linda Goodman (i think) quote:
SATURN SQUARE PLUTOWith this aspect you will have a deep sense of the inevitability of change and transformation, birth and death. Saturn represents the structures we build to protect ourselves against the uncertainties and insecurities of life, outer structures such as a home and job security, and the inner ego structures that protect us from unfamiliar and powerful inner urges. With Pluto in hard aspect to Saturn both these inner and outer structures will periodically be destroyed or die bringing a consequent sense of pain and futility. But Pluto only destroys what needs to be changed, and this death will always be followed by some kind of rebirth on a higher and more refined or spiritual level.
i can't remember reading anything else on it IP: Logged |

Thanks, evander Yep....sounds about right, and about as terrible as expected It's weird because I got through this A LOT. Constant regeneration, along with pain. Starting anew. It's great sometimes, but it's not easy at all, and I hate it. It's like I can NEVER be comfortable in the long-term IP: Logged |

I wouldnt stress out about this aspect because neither pluto nor saturn are personal planets. Saturn is in the same sign for months on end, so millions and millions of people will have a saturn-pluto aspect in their birth charts. Ok, you have it at zero degree, but still. I just dont think this aspect is personal enough to have any real effect on your personality.IP: Logged |

annaf, I hope it's not TOO strong, and yes, the exact zero degrees does stress me out a little...I know it's impersonal planets and I did hear the theory that it can be generational...so I hope you're right IP: Logged |

Yes, it is generational but that is close by degree. Does it tie in with personal planets? Saturn Square Pluto isn't an easy aspect. BUT people with tough Saturn/Pluto aspects might well be strong people that get a lot of respect. They got that way through being tested, which isn't so great and the circumstances might have been deeply unfair. But it remains the aspect of a strong person and that's not necessarily a bad thing. I know a couple of cases in point ~ if I can find a famous example I'll put it up. IP: Logged |

Thanks, blue moon I don't wanna whine... I've always felt this kind of going uphill with clenched teeth struggle throughout my life, so that might be it. I have no idea. As for personal planets, do you mean like the inner ones? I do have Mercury square Saturn and Mercury conjunct Pluto. Does that help? And Venus trines Saturn and quincux to Pluto (don't know if that aspect counts?).

I have the saturn-pluto square as well and I'm definitely not ruthless. On the contrary my friends always tell me that I think of others way too often, always wanting to make sure that I dont hurt anyone (cancer ascendant here and stellium in 7th house). And that even though both saturn and pluto are at key points in my chart. So if satrun-pluto had an effect if both planets are important, I should defintily feel it. Saturn is the strongest planet in my chart and in my first house. Pluto is in my 4th house together with Moon my chart ruler. Pluto is even at the apex of a t-square with saturn and the sun. All of this makes me very headstrong, my iron will is legendary in my family. But never at the expense of others, big believer in world peace so to speak (jupiter is the second strongest planet in my chart). So I stick with what I said orginally, I think satrun-pluto is generational and if someone happens to be a 'ruthless' individual, i would first blame more personal aspects in their chart. In addition to Pluto sq Saturn, you have: [Asteroid TANTALUS 2102 conjunct Neptune] square PHOLUS exact and oppose PANDORA exact. This can be quite a problem in life as many fantasized or dreamy things will always be just out of reach and seemingly taken away by chance.Moon exactly square Asteroid KARMA is quite a personal pain too. ------------------ http://www.tamsoft.co.in/articles.html IP: Logged |

Gee thanks LOL IQ. Yeah, it's pretty annoying, and you're right, I do feel like stuff I long for gets whisked off right before I have it. But I also feel like I spend a lot of time trying hard to focus and visualize what I want. More often than not I do end up getting what I want in some way, shape, or form. It's just never as dreamy and sweet as I imagined it to be IP: Logged |
