does anyone have any experiences around people/relatives/family/friends with Pluto Square ASC?i was looking on google, here was some ones interpretation, i was wondering if people felt this way around pluto square asc'ers? Pluto square ascendant indicates that you are never a kind of person who would be fond of superficiality . Everything that you are interested in needs to be deep and meaningful for you. Even for the things that seem irrelevant , you also want to get deep into their root to figure out all the hidden messages even though there are none. With Pluto square Ascendant , you are inclined to be a loner , or at least it is very challenging for you to reach out to people without making them feel intimidated , or people find a hard time figuring you out. Pluto square ascendant people therefore seem to always have an air of mystery and intimidation around them. Since Pluto is the planet of transformation , deep meaning and also violence , the challenging aspect to the ascendant seem to get you in undesirable situation where sometimes violence can break out. People tend to be either fascinated by you ( especially for those who also enjoy a deep meaningful contact ) , or they would dislike you due to the same reason. This contact between ASC and Pluto offers a very strong personality and a fixed nature where you tend stick to your decision regardless of the change of circumstances. You therefore are often admired for strong determination and conviction. However , this aspect also indicates high jealousy , controlling and suspicious nature , even to those who are closer to you. Be careful not to let this challenging aspect get out of hand as it can make you go towards a more downside , underhanded ways of dealing with things of Pluto. This aspect, if used right, can offer you good benefits , for one you would be very good at detecting all the hidden things, be able to dig deep into difficult matters and get more profound and meaningful outcomes out of them. some one also on this page said that the aspect in "aproaching" makes the impact more harder, and the closer the orb to 0, the stronger the impact is? i am in worry because i feel some of the description is accurate, although i do like power, i certainly don't thirst for it, and i can live without it. however i looked at my chart and realised: the orb is 1! my Pluto is in home Scorpio, my Sun is in home Leo. my asc is in leo, and my scorpio is the 4th house, these placements are quite prominent i thought for this aspect? I know one person with Pluto conjunct ascendant; Mars squares his Pluto. He's an anal tyrant, complaining at every waking moment. He drives everyone away. I know a girl with Pluto square Ascendant, but she's basically hard-driving. Very determined, very hard-working, but that could be due to her Saturn aspects. I notice, though, that she's easily upset and easily annoyed. IP: Logged |

my mars is well aspected, as is my pluto, does this girl have a mysteriousness around her? intense slightly? do you think having pluto square asc can give some one a slight scorpio vibe? IP: Logged |

She's tense, but I wouldn't call her mysterious. She's not someone I'd care to follow home. You may very well have a Scorpionic vibe with that aspect. You might even come on too strong.IP: Logged |

It could be as simple as the way you walk up to someone. "Did you get the project done?" But the way you come on may be very strong and in-your-face. IP: Logged |

i have pluto tightly squaring my ascendant. Friends have told me that I can come off as 'intense' and 'intimidating', I think it depends which mood you catch me in. When I'm stressed or concentrating this intensity definitely is more prononounced. I also have sun squared pluto and pluto squaring saturn. Pluto is in the 4th house together with my chart ruler moon. Edit: I'm definitely very strong willed and have not patience with superficiality IP: Logged |

thanks for the response, my pluto doesnt square my sun, i think if i remember right it aspects most of my planets nicely. my pluto is in scorpio, and my asc is in leo, with my sun in house 1 leo, home of both the positions/planets/energies. so im thinking maybe i do come accross a bit intense and in your face when i approach people, but i usually don't approach people, but i guess when i do, it is usually like that kind of approach. it wouldn't surprise me if i give off a slight scorpio vibe, i tend to be quiet. I have Pluto square ascendant at 11 minutes arc, but also Mars square Pluto, and some of what you posted above seems to fit...at times I feel mabe I give off an intense vibe that tends to frighten some, when people first meet me they usually immediately have a very strong like or dislike towards me. Alot of times I dont even have to speak before they form their own ideas about who they think I might be. ------------------ Sun in Libra Moon in Cancer Jupiter in Cancer Venus in Virgo Mars in Cancer Ascendant in Cancer "I was born when she kissed me. Pluto beguiles and is beguiled. Here's a nice topic which I find very useful if you have natal/transiting/progressed Pluto to Ascendant aspects. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/008083.html My friend has Pluto Square Asc, conjunct MC. She keeps things to herself, sometimes I feel as if she's also hiding things from me deliberately, maybe even as a form of power control. I've confronted her about it a few times and ended up making her cry(making me feel like a jerk). But I resent this sort of keeping of secrets maybe because my own Asc is aspected by Pluto. I think even among her closest friends there might be walls she holds up; perhaps due to a difficulty in being able to relate. Not in the sense that it is difficult to understand others, but to let others understand you. You might even find that you yourself don't understand your own intensity/hidden emotions. The general impression of her is that of a quiet, unassuming and placid girl. But with perhaps a sort of quiet power. People are quite surprised when she displays some of her 'manic episodes' sometimes. I say this with a mixture of both endearment and exasperation. With Pluto Sq Asc you must be careful not to make withholding yourself a sort of tool to dominate and control others because you might more often than not end up hurting those people you care for. glad this topic came to life again : )i had to bump it before thanks for the extra shared experiences, and thanks for the link dazzled, im going to read on it. i can be very secretive, but then at times my leo sun with assistence of venus libra just screws this up, and has got me into dilemmas in the past (people knowing things that i didnt want other friends knowing.. then fearing those others telling my other friends, and how to stop them and make sure they don't!) when im secretive, i think my pluto scorpio and mars virgo and mercury virgo go into gear. do you think having the planets in there homes of energy (pluto scorpio, my sun in leo in the first house of my asc in leo) makes this aspect that more accurate? I have Pluto square Ascendent. People have told me I was intense or mysterious before. I think it confers a certain amount of gravitas. Any Pluto aspect brings up issues of personal power, and holds intense energy. I think Pluto-Ascendent people with either hard or soft aspects are not too into the superficial. I think my sun sign really mitigates the effect of this aspect. (I have Cap Rising, squared my Pluto, and Sun in Leo.) IP: Logged |

I bet it makes people seem powerful, but not necessarily intimidating. IP: Logged |

I don't have Pluto square ascendant but I have Sun square Pluto and my sun is in Leo so the same vibe is going on. I think I intimidate people sometimes, meaning I'm not the most approachable person, but I do have an intensity that some people really like, it really is a powerful aspect. Sometimes the interpretations can be a bit discouraging though. Let me quote Robert Pelletier's awesome aspect book: quote: Pluto square the Ascendant shows that you feel you are destined to have a powerful influence on the lives of the people you contact. Overly impressed with your righteousness, you feel that you alone can properly control their affairs. Nothing you observe is ever to your satisfaction, so you want to make alterations to suit yourself. Apparently your early training led you to assume that the world was waiting for you to grow up and restore order to it. With such an incredible belief in your own omnipotence, you are sure to run into major problems with those who have authority over you. A major issue in your life will be learning to accept traditional chains of command, especially in organizations. You make arrogant display of showmanship by assuming command that doesn't belong to you. This quality is extremely irritating to those who have to deal with you. This behavior is probably a direct reaction to your feeling that your parents or guardians had supreme authority over you. Because of this, you became insensitive to the way people react when you assert yourself. You often show bad judgment in making decisions, but because you are convinced that no one should question what you do, you persist even when error is quite obvious. You have a lot to learn about how much pressure people will tolerate from you. Once you learn how to exercise good judgment, you can truly achieve greatness with your skillful ability to organize others to achieve your objectives. You are gifted in maintaining composure under trying conditions, and you never back down when challenged, even by the most competent adversaries. You may have trouble in personal relationships because your demands are sometimes oppressive. Your lust for power and recognition seeps into all your affairs, so that compromise is nearly impossible.

I think a lot of astrologers overlook that some personality types really thrive on squares. The complexity and power of having that kind of a blind spot in the chart can lead to excitement for some people, especially with Pluto involved.IP: Logged |

I have Pluto conj Descendant. It made me study all kinds of power and powerful people as a detached observer, sometimes in awe. Later on, as I studied them further, their frailties were exposed or I felt I could outdo them. I learnt that it is the opposite point of Pluto that is important from Jeff Green, and this is very true as I learnt that only in my becoming powerful in a field of my choice will I find satisfaction.

I would compare it to having a brick thrown at your face. Maybe you shock people when they see you. They 'like you or hate on you on the spot'. That kind of thing. At least that's what I hear about Sun/Pluto hard aspect people. I find them incredibly powerful. Power punchers. IP: Logged |
