ok,even though i am female and this question is abouta guy, i will still give my perspective. i have venus and mars in aquarius.i am extremely jealous, quite posessive although i try to curb it, very clingy but i try to hide it, very attached, not distant or aloof... my home situation was the reverse of what lioneye's pasting said - my mother showered me with affection and i am quite emotionally undemonstrative with her. i feel bad about it but thats my pride. i am much more affectionate with my boyfriend, which is just as well cos he's a leo! what i'm saying here is that i am a capricorn. i have both venus and mars in aquarius, and most of what has been said above so does not apply to me! you must always take the entire chart into consideration, not just one planet! this might apply more to ppl who have their sun in aquarius, or perhaps a few other planets as well, but clearly, my sun, moon and mercury in capricorn outweighs that influence. plus a taurus rising. just some food for thought =) good luck in your endeavours! p.s. i am extremely stubborn at times, MUST be treated like a Queenat all times, act ENTIRELY COMPLETELY uninterested when i'm attracted to someone to a point where i may as well wear a sign on my head because it's so obvious, i dont like anything vulgar- i'm a very neat clean girl. oh and as far as the friend thing goes, i don't see my other half as a friend because thats too distant for me, i see them as someone i tell all my secrets and can hug and kiss and love and spend countless hours with. i certainly don't do that with friends! AJ - i am bad at expressing myself sometimes, i tried to say how i am not typical when i described how i am jealous, clingy, emotional etc...

I also have Venus in Aquarius (2nd house.) I can relate to that... I feel all of these things then try very hard not to, Which frequently makes me come across as much more aloof than I am actually feeling. My Venus is in Aqua too and I am very jealous too not really possesive, but jealous not clingy but in between clingy and detatched only this way towards my guy and yes must feel like he is my friend for me to get close to him and open up. IP: Logged |

yes, being best friends with my boy is extremely important to me too, i didn't say that i don't want that. i was explaining it in the way that i relate to my other friends.
eg. i still don't tell my best female friend everythign about myself... i dont share everythign with her. thats what i meant. i guess being a capricorn, i have divisions in what i regard as a friend, an aquaintance, a contact, etc... and to me the man i love should be so much more than what i regard as a best friend. he is the other half of me.it is interesting that carissa says that in her efforts to hide her posessiveness etc.. she appears aloof... i think i give that impression too. but i certainly don't feel it! i guess that would make me hard to read... Hey that was good information, cause I see people do that all the time. Hide their posseviness and it appears to the eye as being aloof or detatched. Aquarius people I think have mastered this cause they have a hard time dealing with emotion in the first place. IP: Logged |

I have venus in aquarius too ! heheWhen I'm attracted to someone I don't show it...I act aloof...Gee, what's wrong with us ? hehe
But if that sme is a person I truly like ( as a friend as well ) I will be very friendly without revealing that I'm attracted to him...and, yes , I would want him to make the first move..
Also, I want my lover to be my best friend, I value communication, intellectual stimulation, I must like him as a person before I decide that he will become my lover, being respected and appreciated is a big turn on for me..
As for the aloofness, it stops once I know that he loves me and I can trust him..Deep inside we are very passionate and warm..we just need to know that we are truly loved on all levels...as we are capable on loving sme on all levels too. I think that venus in aquarius people see the opposite sex as a human first and then as a woman or a man..that's why they want a relationship to be based on genuine emotions rather than simple physical attraction..I believe this placement is about deep love...soul love..and we can be very faithful...but he/she will have to be faithful too...fairness is very important to us..
But I guess it will depend on other placements as well..
Puppyblew  ,you said that your cappy has venus in aquarius in the 8th ? Can you please say more about him? What is he attracted to in a woman ? How is his behaviour when attracted to a woman ? etc.. Thank you !  IP: Logged |
