These are the ones that resonate the most for me.

There is no pain like the pain of #5. I know several people struggling with this issue right now, and there are echoes of it in my own life too.
In an analogy to #6 (grocery store epiphanies here! ), I was in the checkout line years ago next to a woman who looked extremely melancholy/depressed. I smiled and said hello when she glanced sadly in my direction, and she looked like she was going to burst into tears. She thanked me for my friendly smile, and commented that I had really brightened up her mood since she was feeling terribly lonely and lost that day. She went on her way looking much happier. It’s small, fleeting moments like this, where you touch another human being’s life in a positive way, that really brought home to me the power of a simple smile, and I’ve tried to practice this habit ever since that day.
As for #9, and the doozies (wrong people) I’ve shared a temporary path with, I know I will be grateful to my core, and will be able to express that appreciation and thankfulness daily, when the right man comes into my life!

Thank you Aqua for posting these originally, and thank you pixelpixie for bumping these up.

They really keep things in perspective! It is amazing how someone's smile or one or two words in passing, can mean everything at the right moment!

Hmm...?

1. I love you not because of who you are, but because of who I am when I am with you. :

No I love you because of who you are. I love you unconditionally, not because I feel better when I am with you.

2. No man or woman is worth your tears, and the one who is, won't make you cry.

Even if you make me cry because you are an imperfect being, I still love you. Just because someone makes you cry doesn't mean it's not real love.

3. Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

4. A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.

True.

5. The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them knowing you can't have them.

Not sure...too deep for me this morning..

6. Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.

Feel whatever you want to feel and express it anyway you want to. If someone cannot fall in love with your tears as much as your smile, then they are not worth it.

7. To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.

Gawd, I honestly hope not. I don't want to be one person's sole reason for living. WAY too much pressure and not a little unfair...

8. Don't waste your time on a man/woman, who isn't willing to waste their time on you.

When I am with the one I love, it's never a waste of time...don't understand.

9. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful.

10. Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened.

11. There's always going to be people that hurt you so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you trust next time around.

Never be careful...it ALWAYS gets in the way of true love.
