Just wondering, are these rules regarding orbs applicable to the composite chart as well? And how about for trines and sextiles? What is the maximum orb for it to be considered important? I just read that 4 degrees is the most. If that's the case, so a 6 degree aspect would be considered insignificant already?IP: Logged |

I believe that synastry is activated by attraction by one or both parties and therefore all aspects should be taken into account. Yes, there is a limit when crossing into anther harmonic but I don't believe in excluding wider orbs close to the end of the harmonic. So to me, cutting down orbs just because you may share an aspect of 8˚ with millions of people is not necessary. Just because you share an aspect with millions of people does not mean you will ever meet all of those people, nor does it mean you will be attracted to them or vice versa. And I believe using larger orbs has NOTHING to do with "reaching."
Those are good points.. IP: Logged |

Sometimes, I wonder about orbs at all...saying if it is __ degree it doesn't count....or not being felt. I am trying to look at synastry just by seeing the interactions between two planets...... Say someone's moon conjunct your ASC at a classically tight orb-but that person in their chart has trouble expressing or even identifying with their ascendant? That wouldn't be important, just annoying to the other person LOL. IP: Logged |
