Hi all! I'm new to the site, but not new to astrology by any means. I've read some of the threads on the venus-pluto aspect in synastry, and I wanted to get some comments on the square and how it affects the Pluto partner? I am the Venus, of course, and I have definitely felt the obsessive qualities in myself over this relationship and the fated/karmic pull. Is Pluto/he equally affected? I don't necessarily think that we're soulmates or twin flames, but there's some serious karmic stuff between us. We have a mutual venus-mars conjunct, moon-moon conjunct, neptune-moon conjunct, and sun-mars conjunct, making the relationship quite magnetic and bonded, but I just don't know what I am to learn from him or why we've become entangled in each others' lives. He does have venus in Pisces, and my NN and Midheaven are in Pisces...? Any comments would be appreciated, and I can provide more info. if you'd like.

Your Venus Square his Pluto – indicates a very strong sexual attraction between the two of you. The motivation behind the relationship is primarily based on sexual desire, not romantic feelings, therefore, sexual jealousy and possessiveness can create problems in your relationship. He will try to control and dominate you emotionally and in some cases, take financial advantage of you. You may consider him jealous, overly aggressive, sexually demanding, superficial, and self-indulgent. What houses Venus and Pluto in, and what is the arc between them. Lanny IP: Logged |

Hello,I have exactly the same aspect in my relationship, Venus (mine) square Pluto (his) less then 1 degree aproaching (to be exact, 0.41 degrees). It is so overwhelming, it is unbelievable, as if it is not enough that we are Cancer-Scorpio, this just multiplies magnetism even more. Plus an exact Venus-Mars opposition, exact Sun-Moon trine and many more. I wonder if this obsession is really due to Venus-Pluto, or it is just a coincidence... IP: Logged |

Lanny- His Pluto is in Libra, and my Venus is Capricorn, approximately 86 degrees (I only know that his birthtime is in the PM). We have other emotional/spiritual aspects/connections- mutual Sun-Pluto aspects, and Sun-Jupiter trine, but he has pressed for the sexual connection ever since telling him that I'm in love with him. It's a messed up relationship- I just have wondered if he's felt the pull towards me as strongly as I feel it.

I perfer to use +/- 1 degree arc, so in my reading for you, that wouldn't be considered a square. However, others like to use larger arcs." My venus is my 7th house, and his Pluto is in 5th house. Your 5th House?? Tell you what, why don't you email me your birthdata, at LLLOG@Yahoo.com and I'll take a look at it. Lanny IP: Logged |

Hi Tim, Sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I am really interested in what you've mentioned "+/- 1 degree" arc that you are using. In this case, many people will have only a few aspects (some probably none!) in synastry. I thought that anything up to 3 degrees is strong, falling in strength after that. Of course, the exact aspect would be the strongest, but surely one can feel 1.4 or 2 degrees aspects as well? Just curious, could you please tell me if you often find many +/- 1 degree aspects in synastry charts, or what is the average number? Thanks, SelenaIP: Logged |

Everyone born from the about 1988 to 1995 has Pluto conjunct my Sun and Venus......honestly, I'm not sure aspects from one person's inner planets to another person's outer planets is very significant when taken alone. Therefore, for synastry, the only time I consider outer planets is when they are aspecting the inner planets within one person's chart, in which case I consider how that inner planet is modified. Example: Person "A" has Libra Venus Square Capricorn Neptune. Person "B" has Aries Mars. Now, of course A's Neptune squares B's Mars, but instead of looking at Neptune, I would rather consider how A's Neptune modifies A's Venus, and how this Venus would relate to B's Mars. IP: Logged |

i also have venus and mars squaring this guy´s pluto and for my mother that the rship is the most obsessive i have ever had...the problem is that pluto here always has the upper hand thus venus gets really tired of all the manipulation etc... not a good aspect in my opinion, quite sexual, yes, i agree IP: Logged |

oopss..I am having this aspect in a relationship too. Boy..there doesnt seem to be a shortage of it going around. We also share Mars square venus. Also mars trine venus. His pluto is in my 5th house...i suppose that intensifies it...my venus is in his 3rd house...whatever that means. It's awful because...His Sun, Moon, Mercury and venus CONJUNCT my ascendant..My Moon conjuncts his to exact degree mas well...and our respective 7th house rulers (Venus and Mercury) are both sextile and trine. So....so many good things...but then this Venus SQUARE Pluto. It must be karmic...we have karma to work out...sexual karma. Just to prove how obsessive this aspect can be...I have posted 4 other questions in some way related to this relationship on this site in the past week...about several other factors..including His NN conjunct my venus and saturn in his fourth house. Crazy!!************************ Cancer Sun/ Pisces Moon ARIES RISING IP: Logged |

I have to say that....My Venus Squares this guys Pluto...and I want to say....the obsession is entirely one-sided as far as I can tell. I am having absolutely NO indication whatsoever that he is feeling compelled or obsessed or anything.IP: Logged |

crabbyfisch. Intresting to see there is Pluto who are the obsessed one. In someone I knew I got the feelings of obsessed. In that case it's me who are the venus. I get the feeling of obsession...uuuh. I don't like it. I'm happy I can stop my obsession into my self so anyone else don't get to suffer on it...IP: Logged |

I had to pull this one up from depths. My reason is that I don't really know if this whole Venus-Pluto thing has a lot of weight into it unless it's either a conjunction or an opposition. My Venus square my husband's Pluto and I can honestly say that I don't really feel a thing. I mean I love him and all but it is defiantly not obsessive. If he wants to run off with some bimbo I would be sad, but I would not feel like my soul was ripped apart. I would not stalk him, stalk her, sew frozen shrimp into the seams of his blinds, put a frozen fish under her exhaust manifold, or call his work every single second of the day asking for him. I have seen some of my friends do these kinds of things and that does not compute. I guess I'm not obsessive. Now, when I looked into my synastry with a couple of celebrity crushes I had way back (and one not so way back hehe) I notice Venus conj Pluto and Venus opp Pluto. There where some other factors, but those where the most exact. ------------------ ♥♥♥♥♥ All you need is love ♥♥♥♥♥ IP: Logged |

Whewwww. His venus squares my pluto, and my venus sextiles his pluto.3 years, I can't leave it alone. I can go for awhile, but not indefinetly. Yep to the sex thing. Yep to the obsession. Sometimes I wish I never met this person. Sometimes I love him so much I could just eat him up. That's the way it goes. I'm wondering if I'll (we'll) grow out of it or not. lol. Doubtful. his pluto sext my moon & conj merc/mc & well, dat's it wid pluto in synastry. but the composite's a bit more plutonian: mars conj pluto in scorpio in9th venus semisq pluto- minor prob scorpio sun, libra venus, merc, jupe in 8th.the relationship is obsessive, feelings overwhelming & d intensity drives me nuts. when em away from him(long distance),the obsessive quality's lost & all seems steady but the day we get together........(u can complete it).I think it's more because of lack of time dat i want him to be around 24/7. Maybe once we get into a conventional relationship things will settle down. edit: it's our 7th month but we haven't had sex yet. IP: Logged |

depth- Is there mars or eros conjunct yours or his ascendant (2 deg orb)? For me that makes physical presence a major factor in attraction. Kind of like the Inverse Square Law. Then again, everyone is different. I do want to know if this is the same with you.IP: Logged |

i've attracted a lot of guys with this combomy pluto squares their venus and my venus opposes their pluto. every single guy that has been attracted to me has had this going on.. for me i didn't feel anything for them they were pathetically, desperatly, annoyingly trying to impress me. it was a really big turn off. i may have fallen eventually, but it just never went anywhere IP: Logged |
