In a synastry chart, my Pluto is in opposition to an (almost complete!) stranger's Venus, and this person simply will not leave my mind. Just curious - is this aspect considered especially strong, and is it usually the Pluto person who has the strong attraction to the Venus person, or vice versa? Is there another aspect that strikes anyone as being especially strong? Other aspects in our synastry chart: Sun Opp Sun Sun Trine Moon Sun Conjunct Uranus Moon Trine Mercury Moon Trine Mars Moon Square Uranus Moon Trine Neptune Venus Opp Sun Venus Trine Moon Venus Conjunct Uranus Mars Sextile Saturn Jupiter Opp Saturn Saturn Conjunct Moon Saturn Square Mercury Saturn Square Mars Saturn Trine Uranus Saturn Square Pluto Uranus Square Jupiter Neptune Trine Venus Neptune Square Saturn Pluto Opp Venus Thank you in advance - I've been lurking for quite some time in my research, and there seems to be a lot of knowledgable people who frequent this forum. Oh, this person's South Node also conjuncts my Jupiter, which I understand may signify a past life connection with a karmic debt to fufill one way or another... IP: Logged |

Hello issora Welcome to LindaLand and welcome to Soul Unions. From what I have read from others here at LindaLand, the Venus person "does the loving" and in that case, might feel the obsession more. However, I have also read here that the "personal planet", in this case Venus, puts a focus on the "outer planet", in this case Pluto, which could activate the Pluto energy in the Pluto person and since Pluto energy (among many other things) does have to do with obsession it makes sense when some astrologers here say these contacts can go both ways. Usually the people who comment on charts ask for actual charts so they can view both of your placements and the houses in synastry. Here is a thread for new people that gives links on information like how to post your chart. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum23/HTML/000006.html Hope to see you again

Ive been experiencing venus opposition pluto for quite some time. Im the venus person and I definitely feel the obsession. It is like Im under a spell and it kinda disturbs me. When I see this person the tension is extremely uncomfortable-is it the same for you?IP: Logged |

Yes, the tension is extremely uncomfortable! My stomach ends up in knots, and I can't even bring myself to say hello, although I've only run into the Venus person a few times over the last 6 months or so. I really want to strike up a conversation with this person, because it feels like there's some unexplained, unfinished business between us, but I worry that I'll end up tongue tied. However, I also think that even a single conversation would bring a bit of resolution to the situation, because then I would know whether the energy goes both ways or not.BTW, I actually just saw this person just a few days ago and it seemed as if he purposely avoided me... wow yeah I just posted some of my synastry aspects a few days ago with this sort of quasi-boyfriend of mine. His sun (taurus)venus mars (aries) and like a handful of love asteroids (both) are in opposition to my pluto mars saturn and eros (all in scorpio on the libra scorpio cusp). I'm not really sure what to make of it yet but I can't stop daydreaming about him. We're BOTH pretty in to eachother in my opinion but from what I've read Pluto is supposed to have the 'upper hand' so to speak. Speaking personally though I don't feel like I have the 'upper hand'. I feel crazy in love but also a little scared of losing control. We spend hours on the phone every night and I miss him before I even hang up.IP: Logged |

one more thing: as an exerize a friend of mine who teaches an introduction to astrology course told his students to pick a handful of celebrities or musicians, actors etc. who we felt attracted to. Then he asked them to draw up their charts and start making comparissons. I'm not in his class but I did it anyway because I thought it would be fun. Imagine my surprise when I found out that all 5 had their sun in TAURUS also 3 had either their venus mars or ascendant in aries. ???? Henry (teacher) said that because my mars pluto and eros were all in scorpio I was easily attacted to taurus men. Also about the aries thing...aries is the ruler of my 5th house (lovers, romance, creative pursuits, etc.). Just an interesting thing to note.IP: Logged |

i don't know about pluto in opposition to venus, but all the guys i have/had pluto venus aspects with, it was pretty much intense.I remember i had a venus pluto conjunction with my high school sweetheart, i was the venus and at first he came on so strong that he made me run away, i was literally scared sh**less of him.He was really obsessed with me but one year after this, when we met again i just couldn't stop thinking about him.We were both thinking about each other 24/7. Now, with this other guy i like i have a pluto venus conjunction and again i'm the venus person and i can't stop thinking about the guy.I have no idea how he feels, nevertheless i would totally agree that venus pluto contacts (essentially conjunctions) are really strong. One thing i've noticed since making synastry and composite charts for couples is that most of the passionate, madly in love and obsessed about each other ones, have venus pluto aspects, mostly conjunctions. All of them admitted to having a very strong attraction to each other and to not being able to stop thinking about each other. My nephew has a venus square pluto contact with his current crush, and i have to admit i have never seen him so in love in my whole life.He wouldn't stop talking about her and he's convinced that she's his soul mate. He's the venus person as far as i remember. I also experienced a mars trine pluto connection with one of my best friends, i was the pluto person and i will (reluctantly) admit to falling for the guy so hard!I was obsessed with him so much so that i had to cut all contact with the guy for over 8 months to put myself together. So i would believe pluto can become obsessed with the other person even if the other person is venus or mars.I wonder if it's also true for sun pluto contacts.Anybody experienced this?
