Topic: whats 'unfinished business' between soulmates?

After getting a psychic reading I was told he was a twinflame and we had unfinished business.
I thought twinflame?! this has to be wrong!Another reader told me that he was a soulmate, which just confused me.During the course of being friends with this guy, we were like kindred spirits and deep feelings for each other were there but nothing came from it, as later his ex came back on the scene! When this happened he was a very different person to the one i knew. i wouldnt say he was cold as ice but there was a lot of distance, as he just decided to cut communication and keep away from me! of course i was hurt and felt betrayed but then made me think that he couldnt possible be a twinflame, cus otherwise he wouldnt have treated me in this way. I later found out that he had a child with this woman, and altho he didnt love her, he was trying to make it with her because of the child. So I'm thinking twinflames do not come with emotional baggage rite?!
And maybe he was just a soulmate. I've went thru the emotions of missing him and have forgiven him too but, still wonder about the 'unfinished business' aspect?!! Does this mean that i might end up being with him at a later time in my life?!! we did have deep feelings for each other, but maybe his might not be so strong for me now.

Well, what would you like to do in this situation? What would make you happiest? Being with him, or going on without him to find perhaps the right twinflame? If you want to storm up to him and his ex and tell him how you feel to make you feel better, do that. Tell him what you feel. However, if you'd rather not, just keep going. Unless there's an urgency deep in your soul and the act of trying to get him back makes you HAPPY and you feel connected to God, you probably shouldn't do it. But also remember that sometimes we're holding on to something so long, especially myself being a Cancer, that we don't see or notice anything better. This might be a lame example, but in Disney's Pocahontas she sings about what's around the river bend. You won't know if you grab a branch and stagnate. It's better to keep going, and if someone joins you in your canoe to go along with you, it's all the better. ^_^IP: Logged |

Well I've already made up mind! As I said before I've forgiven him in my heart which is sending out a message of closure to the universe.
I wouldn't want to stir things up between him and is gf as its pretty obvious that he chose to brake away from me to deal with his issues with her. And getting involved with him being like this would be too messy!It would be great to meet another kindred spirit who doesn't have any emotional baggage next time! But elaboarting my original question, even if you move on in terms of willing to meet new people, do soulmates paths ultimatly cross again if there was a deep spiritual bond,from the start?!
This is what i'm referring to in terms of 'unfinished business'

My idea of soul mates may be quite different. I'm not familiar with the twin flame concept. I think that there are so many things on this earth that our human brains just can't comprehend, our natural tendancy is to look at things from our own perspective. I read a book about dimensions a long time ago and they gave this great example which really made sense to me. If you drew on a piece of paper two stick figures and drew a box around one of them, this would be considered two dimensional, they can move up and down, back and forth. If a person from the third dimension pulled out the stick figure from the box, the one outside of it would think he just disapeared. He would not be able to process mentally what happened or have an understanding of the third dimension. The reason I'm saying this is I'm just trying to show you that sometimes the way that the universe works is beyond our dimensional thinking, and it just may not make sense to us of how these things work. Now to your unfinished business, and giving a possible answer from our current dimension, it doesn't always mean what we may think it means. Maybe in a past life you did something similar to him and now by him doing this to you there is a lesson learned. In my experience this lesson isn't fully realized until much later. If I may suggest Jan Stiller's book Cosmic Love, it's about the North Nodes and Karma and past life connections. You can see what possible past life connections you have with this person and what your lessons are to be learned from one another. I have done this with everyone important in my life past and present and it's pretty accurate! She gives really good examples as well. Maybe it will help you understand the unfinished business portion of this relationship and give you proper closure. Hi Cat Lover I have met quite a few 'close' soul mates in my life and l would agree with you that the "twin flame/soul" connection probably doesn't come with karma. Personally, my take on it is this.
Twin Flames are the 'bonus' of having reached either a high level of karmic release/balance/payback OR having negated all your karma. Now, the question remains "why are we still here if we have negated all our karma?" and l believe that the lifetime that we do negate our karma is potentially the lifetime we meet our Twin Flame. soul mates are karmic partners brought over from past lives to give us the chance to settle the debt, if you like. I truly believe this from my own experiences. I have learnt some pretty powerful lessons and released a lot of karma in the last 15 years. I also believe that some Twin Flames are just not ready for our connection with them. For instance, you meet them and then they either 'run' or they are just not as mature as you and therefore you have no choice but to end the relationship or association. Maybe this is what is happening with you? How do you feel about what l have written. I don't want to bombard you with too much info so if you'd like to continue this conversation i'm very happy to. Hello, yes Sevennah i already have that Jan Stiller's book on Cosmic Love and read the appropriate chapters but according to his nodes he's supposed to owe me, which is contradictory to the way he has been behaving with me! So i cant go on that node view as i feel its too generalized and goes off in a tangent!Lara I think your thoughts on twinflames decribes my situation well and would be interested to know more about your views on this. You mentioned something about when one partner is not ready or mature enough to be with the other person.
This is exactly what happened between us. But apart from that I do have to add that we had a spiritual connection. We were also very attracted to each other and the feeling that came with it was over whelming at times. I think because of this, this was the reason why he backed off aswell as there was emotion involved here and he didn't want to go down that route with me especially when his ex came back on the scene! Now I just feel sad that i never got to talk to him. I often wonder and still feel my thoughts drawn to him and think that maybe I will bump into him again as i know the pull between us was maganetic!

Hi and Welcome to all the rare posters, your thoughts are a great contribution and I can't wait to hear more. It's Spiller, not Stiller... it was probably a typo but I was Googling it because it sounded interesting and wasn't getting anything and then had a hazy memory of hearing the name before, (I think she is the Node author Zala mentions a lot) so I tried that and got some great hits. So, I wanted to mention it in case anyone who hadn't heard of her tried to find some info.
