I'm of strong faith too, so I don't believe in past lives either.  I read somewhere that sometimes the South Node can be interchanged with the childhood. So that's sorta how I use it. Things that happened in your childhood you keep repeating.IP: Logged |

And this is what I get from your chart; You're a giver. Always have been. All those planets and South Node in the 8th, you give give give emotionally to others, but they never gave it back or let you feel they appreciated it. And possibly your parents emotionally manipulated you. North Node is in the 2nd, it's time to start focusing on YOU! Start being selfish, it's ok. Don't feel guilty about it. Do you mean *I* give the 8th house stuff to others like deep emotions?

Houses can stand for multiple things.. you're right that it stands for money and other peoples 'stuff', but it also stands for the deeper emotional stuff. South Node there tells me it's been a routine to take on the problems of others in your life and to neglect yourself. Let my brain start workin' a little better and I'll try to give my reasoning. Ok, here's how I view it.
The Nodes are a natural polarity..
And when it comes to them, I've always seen them acted out more on a soul level, if that makes sense. I personally have never seen the Nodes in any sign or house acting out the materialistic side of the planet or house, it's always been the deeper, more mental or emotional side of them.
So with yours being in the 2nd & 8th houses.. 2nd also standing for self worth.. it seems you would neglect that. Especially with the South Node conjuncting a Luminary, it'd be even stronger in you to focus on the emotion of others instead of your own.Does that help any? Pluto conjunct MC.. was there a lot of drama related to career stuff? Pluto conjunct MC also means it was opposite the IC, so maybe drama was also family related?

Ok, well maybe this is cheating a little...
But, I feel the same way. I want badly to prove I can and will be a good mother.. how you said you wanted to show that you'd be different from yours, is the same way I am with mine. It's a passion for me as well.. on my mind daily.

I loved being a mother.I loved being pregnant,breastfeeding,everything.
Cancer moon and Mars is a natural mother.I stayed home with my kids.

Ahhh, all that is my dream! I can't wait to be a mommy.
Not sure if Moon-Mars specifically points to wanting to be a good mother.. it seems it did manifest that way for me & you, though.
And it's alright. Mine are in Sagittarius & Gemini.
