Since I have been working with you, I have come to accept my Saturn, more, and I feel better.
I have to climb a hill for every once of self esteem I get, but I do get it, and it stays.
That is Saturn. Retro makes it much,much worse, but it is there and I cannot change that.

I would like to discuss My Retro Saturn conj the Asc trine Cancer moon (6 degrees)
I am talking to Xiiro about it in Astro 2.

Aw Ami I am so sorry I have taken so long to reply.I agree with you that retro Saturn conjunct the Ascendant and trine your Moon would add emotional stability. I don't have a lot of time right now, am visiting with parents. But I will try to take some notes and add some more tomorrow.

Ami,Sorry for the late responses. Am incredibly busy lately but I have some free time this evening so I plan on typing up all my card readings and working on your chart. You want to know why you crave safety. That is what I'll focus on now. Quickly, I can see some obvious reasons. Biggest one is your scary childhood, afflicted by Pluto. Many negative, Plutonian themes in your life. You know how scary it can be out there--with noone to comfort you.
Then your Cancer Moon and Mars. Cancer needs to be nurtured and comforted. It hides in its shell for safety--protecting itself from harm. Obviously there is much more to Cancer than that. I'll get into more detail with that, discussing both planets individually, involvingaspects and houses a bit later. Just incase you are on now, I have to go make dinner (it's 5pm here). You are so sweet, Sooth. I cried when I read that. I can never find enough safety.
When I was in college, at night, I used to go to the bottom floor of the dorm, where they had the professors offices.
I used to huddle outside one of the offices, in a ball, where no one could see me, in the dark, and just try to feel safe.------------------

Aww Ami, that story makes me wanna cry! So sad to think of someone being that scared and helpless. Is this all coming from your childhood? Or were there scary environments at the school or altercations with students?

A Cancer Moon would obviously enhance the emotions creating a stronger intuition. Although Cancers are worriers and so you may worry about things to the point where your fears are exaggerated. Does this make sense to you?You are probably very defensive because your feelings are easily hurt. As said before, you crave safety and I think what you need to be protected from is childhood trauma. The Moon and Cancer represent the past also, and Cancer holds on and clings to things. I think you have the tendency to hold on to your past, clinging on to your childhood trauma and allowing it to lead your life. It's hard for you to forget hurtful words. Being in the 8th it likely enhances your intuition, emotions and depth even further. I think this combination, while also keeping in mind what you have told me about your childhood, that all the scary truths about the people you loved and who should have been there to protect you has had quite the psychological influence on you as an adult. You want to hide and feel safe away from all the things that terrified you as a childhood. I think you probably crave honesty, and loyalty as well. Your emotional stability probably depends on this. Mars in Cancer I would think would add a stronger need to protect and be protected. Maybe you hide from danger and conflict but will automatically defend a loved on when they get attacked.
Since Cancer is defensive at times, feeling hurt rather easily, you probably have a strong defense mechanism and take everything rather personally. I read before that water sports like swimming are excellent exercises for someone with a water Mars. Not sure of it's accuracy but it makes sense to me. Is it a good stress reliever for you? Do you even like swimming? Although that is a huge stress reliever for.me so I can't definitely say its only linked to water sigs. Although my Mars is in an air sign and I love being on a boat or driving around with the window open, letting my hair get blown around lol sorry getting off topic a bit. IP: Logged |

Also, I think this makes you very passionate and a kind, nurturing partner. You make a lover feel safe and cared for, but you need that in return. There may be a tendency to be too clingy and possessive. This may not be entirely true for you, what do you think?
Do you put your heart and soul into relationships? Sometimes maybe draining all your energy?
With your Cancer influence I am guessing you place a huge emphasis on family, dedicating all your time into making it as loving and safe as possible?

Yes ,Mars in Cancer. All through college and grad school, I swam a mile a day. I love the discipline of achieving something like that.
In college, the water would be freezing because the pool was not heated but I forced myself to get in and swim the mile lol
Yes, for me, love is soul to soul. I have never been able to have flings. The people I love become part of my little family and I would do anything for them.
I am very loyal. If I am too loyal, I don't care.I have gone out on limbs when I should not have. I would rather have it this way then not be loyal enough to those fro whom I care.I am very Mars in Cancer lol
It can have a hard time with direct expression of anger and any emotion. It can be afraid to be direct. I am getting more assertive, though. It has to be worked on with a Mars in Cancer. Ok, You asked me about Neptune Retrograde. I will have to guess at it based on Merc Retro with which I feel an intimacy.
Merc Retro makes you go inner in your thinking BEFORE you can go outer, IOW, you have to go deep in to things before you can use the planet, in this case your mind.
I can recognize how Merc Retro works as one must use one's mind, continually.
It makes for a very deep thinker. I suppose Neptune Retro would make one really go in to the other dimension which Merc rules. It would force one to be more spiritual and more mystical. This has been the case with me.
The Retro planets force you to become intimately acquainted with the planet and what it rules. You know it, inside and out, because you MUST in order to use it.
You do not have the option of being shallow in the use of this planet. It is a depth or nothing.
That is my experience. Can you relate?------------------

Ami, thank you.Please don't think I am putting you off because I am most definitely not. I am going through a lot in my home life right now. As I told you before my boyfriend and I have been taking care of his grandparents and his grandmother is in critical shape. She was picked up by ambulance last night. We've been fighting with her all week to get her to go and finally we gave her no choice and called the for an ambulance. She's in ICU and we are just waiting to find out whats going on and whats to happen next. I promise you as soon as things start to settle I will be back to add more on your chart. Please do so for me when you have time as well. I really appreciate all the time we have spent discussing eachothers charts, it has been extremely telling and helpful to say the least. Just quickly; about what you said of retrograde planets. Makes a lot of sense. As for me, having Neptune retro I suppose it means I am "well acquainted" with the spiritual realm. I am very sensitive and in tune to subtle things. I have very vivid dreams and they are a huge part of my day and understanding. Hard to explain but I tend to rely on dreams or subtle signs to figure things out. But I am also naive and easily fooled, I have been used by countless people. I am a sucker for anyone who is in pain and I have difficulty differentiating between true need of help and manipulation to overpower. Also, a lot of my close relationships have involved the other person depending on me. And a lot of the people I am close to have drug or alcohol problems due to depression or guilt and I've spent a lot of time trying to help these people and their actions greatly affecting my life.Would this be from Neptune retro? Well thats all for now, its 3am here and I havent slept yet due to all the stress. My head is spinning I just need to take a break for a few hours. As I said I will be back as soon as I can to add more. I just thought since you went out of your way to explain retro planets I could at least give you some feedback.
