I honestly feel so happy that I'm finally done with this part of my life. It hasn't done me any good and nothing major ever really came to pass. I was looking back on some of my readings from 2012 and just shaking my head and laughing.

My inability to accept reality has had me repeating toxic mistakes for five years now. What a shame.

He's the current day Edgar Cayce. Edgar Cayce was featured in the Times Magazine at one point.

I found out about Douglas James Cottrell through Coast to Coast Am. I love the radio program. They host psychics on occasion. You can always call in and ask for free advice if the topic is open during a psychic program.

I am currently reading The Story of Edgar Cayce: There is a River.

You're always complaining on this thread that's supposed to be about feedback.

You return to argue with someone that is doing well. Not every psychic will connect with you.

I used to get really angry at psychics but now I realize that I put myself in that position. I didn't want to accept reality so I essentially paid for denial and held on to that denial until it was no longer believable. The readers would be JUST accurate enough to keep me coming back, but the truth is, with exception of only about 2 readers, most of them were most likely guessing. A lot of it had to do with control as well I think, like I didn't feel like I had any control in my life so getting readings and "knowing" what would happen made me feel more secure.

I honestly feel okay with everything now, I feel like I'm turning a page and have new opportunities coming my way by letting go of what I want and walking into the unknown. All this has made me realize how much introspection and self-work needs to be done...so at least some good is coming from it. Perspective. Now I just get to watch rom-coms and work on myself until I'm ready to go out and make life more interesting.

I loved everything about this because it reminds me of myself. I'm in the process of trying to let go of readings and realize that I need to allow what's meant to happen on its own instead of being impatient and trying to talk with psychics to figure out what lies in my future so I can know which path to take when before getting readings I was doing just fine on my own without them and allowed the universe to take control. If a mishap happened along the way, it just happened and I continued living. Psychics haven't done anything for me but cause a dent in my wallet...a huge dent lol, but that's no ones fault but my own and I've always known that yet I continued to damage my own self. I want to return to the time I didn't need readings to tell me the future and I'm trying to let go of psychic readings completely.

Psychic readings also had me doing things that I wouldn't normally do, they kind of weakened my personality in a way...I was a lot stronger in dating before I was getting readings. "Be patient, he's going through so much..." things kinds of things had me ultimately wasting a lot of time. I should have taken the situation for what it was and walked away from every guy I got a reading about. I kind of realize that if you have to get a reading on them, they're not a good person to be around.

A lot of my questions were in regards to contact and looking back on that it makes me quite sad. Contact, ultimately was just my way of holding on to something that wasn't going to happen. Contact was a "chance" but if you're waiting on contact, chances are even if it DOES happen not much will come from it. In this day and age, there's no reason for a guy NOT to be in contact with you on a regular basis. If he is into you and ready for a relationship, you won't have to ask when he's going to ring you up.

This thread really does break my heart now; to see all these beautiful, caring, sensitive souls being treated so poorly by men and then furthering the process with readings. All of you deserve so much better than the men who drove you to get readings.

I think a lot of it, too, was loneliness. I'm more lonely than I've ever been...I'm 100% single, not talking to anyone, all of my friends are married and/or having children so they don't really have much time to socialize and due to self-esteem issues its been very hard for me to put myself out there and make new friends. It'll be alright though, I'm finally using all this alone time to (re)discover things I enjoy and that make me feel more confident.

I didn't do any reading for relationship for long time, i just put it down and not worry about it anymore.

But i still have a weekly tarot card reading for business, it helps quite a bit, especially i can kind of forsee some potential problems. Other than this, no more.

I hv over 10 years experience in getting reading, i really don't think they are alll frauds, some are pretty ok but even those are ok they wouldn't be always ok.
