Hello! I'm quite new to astrology and just recently I found out that my Venus natal is retrograde, I was looking for some information about it and I read that at some point in my life it actually can go direct. What does it mean? I can't really figure it out how and when will it go direct, can somebody help me please? It kind of makes me a little bit sad, because it means that I wont have much love experiences in my life + my natal Saturn is conjunct my descendant. Maybe someone could help me figuring out when I might have some love happening in my life. Thank you in advance!!IP: Logged |

Your natal chart is a snapshot of the planets in the sky at the time you were born. The behaviour and movement of the planets at that time provide an insight into who you are today and what you may become in the future. You can't change the fact that your natal Venus was retrograde. But you can understand its energy and get to grips with the lessons associated with it. http://www.cafeastrology.com/natal/bornwithvenusretrograde.html Venus did go direct after you were born; but that becomes TRANSIT Venus to you, as opposed to NATAL Venus (Note: Venus continues to retrograde/go direct until this day, however transit Venus' influence on your love life is dependant on maturity and on the rest of your chart.) I hope that made sense, if not... I apologise. Read the link above X IP: Logged |

Thank you! Well yes I totally understand that I can't change my Venus retrograde and any of my natal planet positions, but I read that at some point in your life if you "learn your lesson" Venus retrograde energy changes. I don't know.. That seemed strange to me.IP: Logged |

That's probably true! The energy will probably change because you're more aware of how it can manifest and you're better equipped to deal with it X IP: Logged |

Interesting... If possible I have one more question, if Saturn is opposite ascendant (Saturn still in the 6th house) does it mean that it will also give the energy to the 7th house too? I read somewhere that means that Saturn is "on the dark side"?IP: Logged |

It can go direct in your progressed chart. Progressions move each planet in your natal chart based on your age. One year=one day. So if Venus went direct 10 days after you were born, then it would've turned direct when you were 10 years old. You can get your progressed chart on astro.com by going to the extended chart selection under the horoscopes section. Aspects in your progressed chart can show changes and events in your life. You can also get an ephemeris chart, which will show the movement of all of the planets for any year. If you look up the year you were born it will show you what day Venus went direct. IP: Logged |

You're talking about progression chart. No, the natal planets remain as they are, they don't change because they don't move. IP: Logged |

So if Venus went direct after 25 days of my birthday, it means in progressed chart it will go direct when I will be 25 years old? Here is my current progressed and natal chart, it means that Venus is still retrograde, right?

Yes Venus is still in a retrograde motion until your 25th year. You may still have a significant relationship in the next 1-2 years when Venus conjuncts Mars in your progressed chart. Venus rules your 1st & 8th houses and Mars rules your 7th house of partnerships, so it seems like an important relationship will most likely occur during that period. That conjunction is taking place in your 9th house, so you may meet while traveling, through church, or at school. Or maybe they will be a different cultural background. These are all things that are associated with the 9th house. Also in about 2 and a half years your progressed Moon will be opposite the progressed Venus/Mars conjunction, and then opposing your natal Sun. There will most likely be major events or changes occurring in your life during that time.IP: Logged |

Thank you for your help!! So it means that important relationships will occur during the period when Venus/mars conjuncts (or any other major aspects) in 1st, 7th or 8th house? quote: Also in about 2 and a half years your progressed Moon will be opposite the progressed Venus/Mars conjunction, and then opposing your natal Sun. Yes that's true, because I will be graduating at that time! IP: Logged |

You're welcome. Venus and Mars are traditional relationship planets, plus Mars rules your 7th and Venus rules your 8th, both of these are relationship houses. So that will most likely be an important time in your life for relationships. There's no guarantee that a relationship will happen, but the possibility is there based on your progressions. Also it doesn't mean that it will be a happy or healthy relationship. It just means the potential for a relationship to begin is there during that particular time.
