I'd like to request a short discussion/thread on orbs of influence.I seem to recall that the orbs for the lights are different than for the planets, plus I've noticed on Lindaland that different astrologers use different systems... some use shorter orbs, some use more generous ones... 5 degrees, 10 degrees... It seems to me that differring orb calculations have meant that I'm not sure of some of my chart aspects, I dunno... gah...  Thanks,

I'm not sure if you're refering to just the natal chart or orbs re transits as well?Lanny may be planning to cover orbs in his lesson on transits and explain why orbs used from transits are tighter than those used in the natal chart.
I'm sure he'll see this post and let us know.

Intercepted Houses and orbs of influence are both good Topics. Maybe we need more Teachers.  ------------------

Hi Randall
Good point re intercepted houses.
Maybe we should "slot" a lesson/lessons on orbs plus intercepted houses in, after Lanny's transit lesson. Or Lanny if you're around do you want to cover that in your lesson?

Oh yes, Cat, both natal and transit charts -- thanks, because I didn't specify that! And Randall -- intercepted houses would be of interest to me, too, and likely to others. What a vast topic Astrology is! cheers,
