of course on the humorous side, it appears as though I am a lot of hot air weighted down by slightly muddy waters. IP: Logged |

Hi grayheart you're really getting into the elements Ok let's think about the elements and how they behave in nature. So if we mix earth and water - that's good as without water the earth could get dried up and crack etc. Mind you too much water would make slushy mud. It's all about getting a good balance. In reverse water without earth could run all over the place - so mixed with earth it will then have some boundaries to stop it flooding and getting out of control. Air with fire - air can make fire burn brightly but too much air could start a forest fire... Air with water - can help water to move and stop it from becoming stagnent. (Think how that works in a pond) Water and fire - too much water will put the fire out but a little can stop the fire from getting out of control. Think about it in those terms. What do you think? ok, that makes sense. in that case, with strong fire and air, I should have a tendency to burn very brightly, but since I have a strong water presence, it keeps the flames under control, and with all the air and heat, it is a good thing there is at least a little earth to keep me grounded or else my windy temper would have a tendency to fly out of control, and the water aspect allows me to extinguish the flames before they cause too much damage. So while I have the potential to rage, my earth and water aspects help to keep the air from fanning the flames out of control.OK, I think I can work with that, it is a close enough description. I am Virgo(Earth) I terms of compatibility, I fail to see a real pattern in my friendships/relationships. I do know a shocking amount of guys I've fell for have had Pisces moon. I seem to attract Aries and Scorpio men..........IP: Logged |

So, are we looking at all the planets and the compositon when talking about compatibility, or the sun??????? I would assume composition.........If we put it that way, I don't seem to get along with people with a lot of air in their charts, they really annoy me. Not that I'm not gonna like you if you are an air person, I'm just talking about general patterns.IP: Logged |

I can see the tendancy for that generalization actually, since air is very fluid and mobile and active in it's nature and earth is more solid and settled, the two natures are often in opposition to one another, the air wants to move and fly and the earth wants to chill out and stay a while. so with your planets being largly earth in nature, there is a stong difference in personalities, which could make friendships between yourself and strong air base personalities a bit trying at times. Again this is just a tendancy, and knowing this about yourself and others can allow you to know when to avoid them and when they may just be misunderstanding you.IP: Logged |

Strange about my so called "intolerance" to air (please don't take it the wrong way!) I find I am attracted to people with a large fire makeup (not neccesarily sun sign, fire suns make me run the other way with the exception of a few aries males) Hmm, isn't fire a bit radical for someone with a large earth makeup like myself?IP: Logged |

fire and earth are actually rather symbiotic, neither one really strongly opposing the other, earth can put out the fire by smothering it, but fire can also burn up earth, depending on the intensities of each. while fire is relatively fluid, it is also somewhat stable and not too eager to move on. They would appear to almost need one another, see fire burns earth and causes it to absorb the heat energy, while the earth feeds the flam, but not so much as to make it burn out of control. a fire would have difficulty staying lit without earth to support it. true air can feed the fire too, but how long would the fire last given only air to feed on, it would quickly burn itself out. same with water, the water would cool the flames, fire needs earth in order to stay lit. and earth need fire in order to keep from getting too cold and solid. the flames warm the earth and grant it at least some range of movement due to the heat softening its hard composition. Water and earth would get along relatively well too as long as the water was not too overpowering for many of the same reasons. the water would give the earth some fluidity, but not too much, and would also help the earth to replentish itself, something both fire and water would do. Air is not entirely against earth either, it can be of assistance bringing about the change in seasons that help the earth to grow. there are positive posibilities in all the relationships, as well as negative ones, and each individual will find a different attraction, the elements will help to se the possible benefits or conflict by exposing some things about the personalities. It does not gaurantee success or failure, only offers insight.IP: Logged |

My Sun Sign's Aquarius; therefore, I'm AIR. Generally, this element seems to fit me like a glove. I very much agree that compatibility is effortless when one socializes with people who shares her/his element, but sometimes that entirely depends on what other planetary influences that may override a Sun Sign's characteristics in her/his charts! I know this only from personal experience or observation. Birthdata: February 18, 1980. 12:10 AM. Knoxville, TN, USA. Grazie in advance. IP: Logged |

Hi I just got here so, I have 3 water, 3 earth, 3 air, and 1 fire. as follows: Water- Sun(cancer),Mercury(Cancer),Uranus(Scorpio) Earth-Moon(Virgo), Jupiter(Virgo),Saturn(Virgo) Air- Venus(Gemini), Mars(Libra), Pluto(Libra) Fire-neptune(Sag) I;m very emotional, but don't let other people see it, except on those times when I can't help it cause I can't stop crying. I'm a good listener, but I never really have anything to say in return except with my children. All my earth is in the 12th house(Virgo ascendant) and I think thats why I'm not really very responsible or practical with myself anyway. As far as the air, I'm very interested in things but can never settle on one thing to actually learn a lot about it. And I have a bad memory. I don't really see the Fire, but I'm not very objective about my own life either. I also don't know what my nodes are. Can someone help with that? All my planets are between the 9th and 3rd houses. What does that mean? 9,10,11,12,1,2,3.IP: Logged |

I'm a Fire sign, an Archer Sun Dec 7 and Ascendent. I've always loved being a free spirited archer, and get along great with my youngest sister an Aries. I hate routine and burn out easily if I don't get enough sleep lol. I totally relate to all things Saggie, especially the tendency to be too umm blunt. My moon is in Pisces, so maybe that's why I've never been attracted to a Fire man. My fiance is A Cancer Sun with an Archer moon which I think is great. IP: Logged |

My Sun sign is earth (Virgo). Actually, I also know that my chart is ruled by earth and my moon and asc are also earth signs. Almost everything I do every day I have to find it to be practical, or I won't do it. I also seem to be very realistic which a lot of people view as negativity/pessimism. I have a slight tendency towards materialism which I'm fighting by using de-cluttering techniques. I disagree with compatibility of signs of the same element, in an overall sense. I do get along quite well with most Taureans, and there seems to be a natural attraction so they tend to be good friends. Capricorn has always been weird. I usually find them rude and miserable and tend to stray from those friendships. Other Virgos I just never get along with. If I don't like them, they at least don't like me! IP: Logged |

VTT, Sun, Moon, and Asc. in earth, this shows that you are grounded, focused and practical. I have found personally that your best relationships are with sextiles. They get the ball rolling, one idea leads to two, two leads to four etc. IP: Logged |

What element is your Sun Sign? I'm totally submersable, yet haven't desired to morph into fluid breathing, though, I feel perhaps that in one of my past lives I was indeed a mermaid. *places finger tip to side of mouth, while looking off into the distants...* Or did I just play one on stage? *lol* Pisces~Water How do you feel this element expresses it’s self in your daily life? In so many more ways than in times I'd almost wish not, yet, to be that way, I'd have none at all. You do realize that the question above is a 'loaded' question for those of us of water persuasion? Right? Daily life It's hard to explain, I'm very fluid, moist, moving, feeling, responding all the time. In all I do. I'm estatic about being watery, and very thankful for my earthy side that keeps me a bit more stabled. In terms of compatibility, signs are considered compatible if they belong to the same element. Do you agree or disagree? Both. Have you seen this in your own life? Yes, My very best girlfriends are water signs, with the exception of two earth signs with water moons. Guys, the attractions there with other water signs, but for some reason, just haven't fit just right, earth signs feel better to me. IP: Logged |

I am heavily weighted to fire - Sun, venus in Aries, Moon, Uranus + Pluto in Leo, Saturn in Sag.Merc,(Taurus) Jupiter (Virgo) makes earth Ac (Cancer),Mc (Pisces), Neptune (Scorpio) in water - seems to balance the fire - but I certainly understand about putting my own fires out!!!! I do feel that the water and fire tend to temper or cancel each other...... Poor lonely mars in Gemini trying to balance with air and do all the thinking!!!! (believe me it tries) The fire in my chart manifests as intense periods of involvement and subsequent burnout - follow-through not my strong point!! Definately honest and direct in my dealings when my Cancer Asc. isn't hiding out! IP: Logged | |
