I am Virgo and ascendant Sagittarius. I have seen myself reflecting both the signs like I can make friends easily, People do enjoy my company. I am always in action and I love my independence. I am always smiling. But being Virgo I work on my nerves and start thinking a lot from inside whereas people think that I don't think much and I am not nervous type. Whereas I do need emotional support may be it is Virgo sun sign. Being Virgo I am too practical to take impulsive actions Whereas being Sagittarius asc I sometimes want to take impulsive decisions.IP: Logged |

Hello! My chart ruler is Pluto (or does Mars also count?) and it' in the 9th square MArs in 7th and Square Jupiter in the 1st and my ascendant ....as far as I can figure it out so far (after 44 years!) is that I have to channel all that emotional energy (not just eat the stuff!) understand it and USE it.I'm actually doing the last one.Unfortunately it's always tug and pull and an upward struggle...Life isn't boring though and I wouldn't want that. *splash* (another Fish/Water Bearer/Scorpion-Eagle(?) jumps in)Hey ya'll I think that I very much lived my Scorp Asc. when I was younger. When I felt threatened (which was, oh, most of my childhood ) I'd remove myself and observe (perhaps, too, b/c of my Aqua Moon?) - I was always the quiet one..."Oh, isn't Corri so deep and so adult for her age? Why, she's 5 going on 35!" And I'd rush out to protect others, and almost seemed to search for animals to heal (my Mom has some doves that return each year thanks to me). I still have a "tough" facade much of the time, but some - especially the Scorp Sun Males that I've come across - size me up pretty quickly: "You seem so tough and self-reliant, jaded almost, but you're not...under that's this really soft, feminine nature," are the near-enough verbatim words of one such guy after all of a week of association...it took my poor Taurus ex, geez, nearly 3 years of friendship in HS and 7 months or so of dating to say, "Wow - you're sensitive! That's cool! I didn't think you were..." But I do have to admit that - true to my chart and my 10th House Mars, I guess - I get genuinely aggressive in the classroom (my real work for the moment) when debating or probing for answers. I won't stop until I get to the bottom of an assertion, and it really p*sses some profs off - but to be fair, they do have a schedule, and I'll just keep going on if unfettered. As for my Pluto, it's in the 12th - just what effect would that have on my Scorp Asc? Oh, and then there's my Uranus - it's in Scorpio, but on the far end from the 1st House cusp. I've had a little different experience then you, brunnhilde, w/ my Pisces/Scorp dynamic: it still seems that no matter how "grrr" I may appear, there're more than a few who get really protective over me, even if they don't normally get a huge peek at my Sun. But, still, it's in the 5th, so it may find it's own way to shine about. IP: Logged |

I'm a Sag with Taurus rising. It really hate it sometimes because people prejudge! People usually I'm assume I'm studious, introverted, quiet, conservative. Then they're like Oh my gosh you actually like to have fun! IP: Logged |

Hey, hey ,I have been skipping class. Sorry ! But I am back and willing to post my score. I am Cancer with Virgo rising and my Mercury is in Gemini on my MC so what I feel and others too is that I behave like a Gem. most of the time. I am extremely fickle (almost sickmakening and in my head Aqua moon) the chameleon type. Plus I have the moodiness and changeability of my Cancer side! Conclusion: Changing all the time. Tomorrow is another day só different! I do have lot's of Virgo traits obviously. But I spend a lot of my time at work (obviously....only 9 hours a day but still it's a lot )and people there find my quicksilvery, very Mercurial . So yep, you can really see how the ruler of the horoscope works through the whole thing. I have always wondered why I wasn't a Gemini? But ever since I started to look at my chart I know why I thought that! But....I am still a very sensitive Cancer who cries at the drop of a hat! IP: Logged |

Interesting discussion! I can really relate to this about the ascendant "fooling" other people. I am Virgo with Leo rising, my Sun is unaspected so it's really easy for my Leo side to take over totally. Mostly I'm perceived as a royal, and people might feel deceived when Virgo shows her side. But I just want to say: Even if I invite you to a party it doesn't mean that you have to crease the sofa pillows!

Ok I too have missed a few classes here, so I'll start back again with a post.I have Libra rising and it's a painful one for me because I've also got a Libra Sun and it's too much weighing and balancing but maybe thats because Pluto conjuncts the Sun which gives the Libran influence more weight and dire measure. I do think that I provide the balance alot in situations with others which isn't always a good thing (only half of the time) because if there is a confrontation needed and no-one is doing it I feel COMPELLED to start it up even though I'm sooo uncomfortable with confronting people and people confronting me. I just can't hold my tongue sometimes... I got an Aquarian Moon and I NEED to say the truth. Venus my chart ruler is in virgo 11th house, setile MC in Cancer, sextile mercury in Scorpio 2nd house and square Neptune in 3rd house. I love to create art especially abstract thought art. Howdy,I guess I asked the previous question because I've been reading a little lately about Sabian astrology-- I found an old Dane Rudhyar book called 'The Astrology of Personality' and in it there are distinctions made between the types of persoanlities associated with each decan. Or is this something to hold onto for an Advanced course? Thanks, Lunargirl IP: Logged |

Hi there.. So, is ascendant the conscious personality you cultivate unconsciously?! As a kid, I was quite a handful and I used to get into fights with class bullies double my size and win! This went on for sometime until one particular king kong made me face the reality - that I am no superman! From then on, I kind of exercised more control over my "instant" emotions resulting in a sober, reserved personality. This is the first face I present to new people and I am conscious about it. But, once I get pally with them, the iron curtain opens up and I am my usual jolly extrovert self, on a fabric of reservedness that may be needed - just in case!! I think it pretty much matches an Aries Sun, Moon with a Scorpio Ascendant....would welcome any takes on this interpretation! Cheers, Ravi IP: Logged |

I'm a Virgo sun with Gemini asc, and I have this really notorious habit of doing a lot of things at the same time, leaving most of them unfinished. I guess that's what my gemini rising does to me. However, if people should notice on what I am actually working on at any point in time (or someone pins me down to one place. Good luck, but it's possible. ), they'll see I don't leave around too many loopholes. Another thing. I enjoy going out, but I usually have something specific in mind when I go out. Another asc-sun sign "conflict"? IP: Logged |
