MK ~ what a lovely story! *sigh* The lost magic of childhood. To be welcomed into the Faerie Realm is very special indeed. You are marked now. I think when things come around full-serpent-cicle you will see those faeries again. May I ask what the faerie ring look like? tink IP: Logged |

I found two different kinds that I called Faerie Rings...in the more sunny parts, it was a circular patch of grass that grew higher and greener than the surrounding grass. I have seen those in lawns, too. They grow back faster than the surrounding grass does.In the quiet, shade covered part of the woods was a ring of mushrooms. It was near oak trees (and later, in research, I found out that oaks are associated with faeries.) Its more than just what you see, tho- you can feel it. The area just seems different, for lack of a better word. I hope that helps you find some, Tink....all you have to do is believe. I think they will show themselves to me again...but I have to shake off the negativity a person gathers first- all the "nos" and "cants" and "thats impossibles" that we learn as we grow into adults.... How blessed Motherkon Keep your inner child glowing and you will see them again. I have some beautiful Faerie rings here. They just amaze me as they pop up overnight and disappear without a trace of withering ect.. My four leggeds won`t walk thru them either. juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

Thanks MK! Now that I know what to look for, I'll keep my third eye open. I live in the city so have only a small garden but I plant with the little people in mind. No chemicals, lots of old-fashioned cottage garden flowers, lots of nooks and cranies to hide out in, and I leave it just a little wild. I talk to them. And I respect them. I think of it as our garden. I've never seen one, but sometimes I imagine I can feel them. More so in the spring then other times. And when my husband uses his leafblower (against my better judgement but I gotta give in sometimes and he loves his toys) I can just feel the little shaking heads and rolling eyes. How interesting about the animals not walking thru the rings, Juniperb. They really do have a different sense then we do. You know, I've got to say how constantly amazed I am at the people on this site. Such interesting stories and colorful lives. Everyone seems to see life as an adventure and learning experience. Wonderful! IP: Logged |

that is a beautiful story MK! i bet they are still watching over you!i have always believed in faeries....i was also brought up with a catholic influence...tough stuff. now i am a wee bit sad that i have never met faeries, not that i remember. i wonder if my negative side keeps them away... i am having a ho hum i don't like growing up day. but i am excited about watching my daughter grow and i will encourage her in every way to be free and creative and meet faeries if she wants to! she got her second tooth today!! she looks like a lil pixie!! such dainty and mischievously pretty features! her smile is like a rainbow after a storm....it can shine through anything! They can be rather elusive. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

MK~ Thanks so much for sharing your story. I have to admit, I am a bit envious. Must be the Cardinal Air, but I have an affinity to the Fae. Butterflies too, but mostly Faeries.IP: Logged |

Here's a fun little thing I found...What Kind of Fairy Are You? http://quizilla.com/users/taisamarie/quizzes/What%20Faerie%20Personality%20Are%20You%3F/ Sexy - Your body is your temple. Playful, and at times childish and ditzy, you can be smarter than you look when you actually try to be. Whatever is fluffy, cute and attracts the opposite sex is on the top of your list.

Nature child Wise - A strong mind and intuition for all, you prefer nature to people, it is just has more sense. By looks, some would call you an earth childe or hippe, but your connections go much deeper than those superficial names. ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

Oooo.. how'd I miss this thread!? quote: Elegant - You pride yourself on charm and are always emphasising your femine attributes. You like ice skating, ballet, gymnastics... any activity seen as female. You have a good head on your shoulders, but you are too easily distracted by 'pretty' things.

I ask my elfin two year old daughter about it all the time, but i always call her a faerie or elf because she really looks like a little mischievious one so she doesn't answer but when i ask her if she remembers the angels she simply and matter of factly says "heart". When I ask my little but wise capricornian son he always goes on with a long string of stories about them as I intently listen but every time, he says"they knock on my walls." and I know he's telling the truth because I never hear it.When I was little my grandma used to always talk about faeries and elves and angels. She used to say that there were guardian angels in her house when I got scared at night and everyone agrees that there is an unmistakable calming atmospere there. I know she is right about it all, but sadly I have never seen any because I believe my pineal gland closed early due to a child hood of emotional neglect and abuse. IP: Logged |

I believe in fairies coz my healer woman I visit said I always bring them in with me on my flowery doc martin boots. I cant hear them but they tell her they call me the "love woman". They asked her to ask me to go into the fairy ring near where I live and I was a bit scared. As ye will probably know you don't mess with the irish fairies, they can be quite vindictive. Anyway I went in and it felt great. I sang in their and almost felt them on me - enchanting or what. The last time I went for my healing session the healer said the fairies said to her "this one has got plently of devilment in her, so she has" - HA HA - AM I MAD????? XXIP: Logged |
