Well, I had a real estate transaction blow up yesterday rather unexpectedly!I would have thought a day with numbers like "9/13/2002" would have been good for me! IP: Logged |

Friday the 13th is so not unlucky. About two years ago it was Friday the 13th and also a full moon, and like I won a hundred bucks in lottery ticket my mom gave me! IP: Logged |

LOL!!! Can I second that??This Mercury rx is happening in the tenth house for me, on top of my mid heavean right by my Jupiter Saturn cnj. While I'm attempting to fill in as Manager at work (Understaffed, crappy machines and blah blah blah all the way along LOL) So far two people have managed to develop problems with next weeks schedule, one has moved into her college and so doesn't want to come back (college and work are on DIfferent sides of the city) and so is leavin an eight hour shift with no coverage (no one else availible) and another suddenly has a doctors appt on thursday . .Again no back up coverage. EE!. Take this transit away!! IP: Logged |

The 13th was horrible for us!!! We got 6 full traumas at once in our Trauma center!! I was running around like a chicken without a head, trying to get pain meds for everyone, plus an serious attempted suicide, a guy with an arrow shot thru his chest, 3 stabbings and 2 gun shot wounds....all in a 6 hour period, then the computer crashed!!! We were so happy to see midnight + a few seconds into the 14th....grrrr!!then retrograde began!!! ------------------ Hugs,LTD ~~The struggle keeps us young~~Daring to make mistakes and knowing there are none.~~DGM IP: Logged |

Read up on Pope Innocent III's association with October, Friday the 13th. That's how we get the negative vibes associated with this day.IP: Logged |

hi sweetie,in sum, after constantine made christianity the official religion of the roman empire, the papalcy and royalty became much closer over the years and sought to eradicate paganism and heretics. therein began the massacres with horrific torture on people. you can do a search on the net or check out books at the library to learn more. a. Didn't it also have something to do with Jesus plus 12 disciples? ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

I don't know that for a fact Randall.I do know Linda wrote about the number 13 in Star Signs mentioning Jesus and the 12 Disciples, King Arthur and the Round Table, and a few others. IP: Logged |

I read in a book by Caroline Casey, Making the Gods Work for You, that the stigma of Friday the 13th came about sometime during the Age of Aries. Sky Gods, typically of masculine persuasion, became the vogue and the earthy feminine (Age of Taurus) were severely frowned upon. The day of the week Friday was named after Freya, the Norse Venus. 13 was a number that was sacred to her. Thus there was a double whammy of feminine energy associated with that day, making it very special and celebrated. Needless to say, those of the masculine sky God persuasion did not want that stealing any of their thunder so they started to vilify that day with superstitious rumors. To me, this whole scenario seems to tie in nicely with Pope Innocent III's persecution of pagans because of their beliefs.
