How synchronous. I recently saw the movie Coach Carter, and this speech was used in it.

------------------
"Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark

Here's one:

------------------
"There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll

I just found this one this morning!

*edited...
how strange, it was twice today that I was meant to quote something, and I pasted it entirely wronge, it was even the wrong page.
I am going bonkers.

Anyway, here is my new quote.

------------------
"The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle." Anais Nin

Good one 26, I also like one that Aselzion has on his signature.

"The ALL is mind, the Universe is mental"...

If I remembered correctly.

I also found these quotes:

If children learn what they live,
Mine will spend the rest of their lives learning.
~Auriel Langford

Kites rise highest against the wind -- not with it.
~Sir Winston Churchill

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself
that you have built against it.
~Rumi

The best way to predict your future is create it exactly as you want it.
~Auriel Langford

I know exactly what I love to do and do it, because I can.
~Auriel Langford

The magic of a free society is everyone can move forward and prosper, because wealth
comes from within.
~Steve Forbes

If you want to be successful,
don't give or take excuses.
~Florence Nightingale

The man who follows the crowd will usually get no further than the crowd. The man who
walks alone is likely to find himself in places no one has ever been.
~Alan Ashley-Pitt

Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the trouble makers. The round pegs in the
square holes, the ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have
no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can't do is ignore them, because they change things, they push the
human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones
who do.
~ Apple Computers, Think Different

We see things not as they are, but as we are: Love brings understanding.
~Anais Nin (1903-1977)

I am seeking, I am striving, I am in it with all my heart.
~Vincent Van Gogh

The wisest mind has something yet to learn.
~George Santayana

Passion is universal humanity.
Without it, religion, history, romance and art would be useless.
~Honoré de Balzac

Write your own destiny...
~Auriel Langford

Follow your dreams, heart, and
passions to create the personal
destiny you truly desire.
~Auriel Langford

Wisdom is choosing to do now what you'll be happy with in the future.
~Joyce Meyer

To accomplish great things,
we must not only act, but also dream;
not only plan, but also believe.
~Anatole France

Where there is love,
there is life.
~Mahatma Gandhi

The more connections you and your lover make, not just between your bodies, but between
your minds, your hearts, and your souls, the more you will strengthen the fabric of your
relationship, and the more real moments you will experience together.
~Barbara De Angelis

Only from the heart can you touch the sky.
~J Rumi

Knowing is not enough;
We must apply.
Willing is not enough;
We must do.

~Goethe

The main motive for “nonattachment” is a desire to escape from the pain of living, and above
all from love, which, sexual or non-sexual, is hard work.
~ George Orwell (1903-1950)

The stars which shone over Babylon and the stable in Bethlehem still shine brightly over the
Empire State Building and your front yard today. They perform their cycles with the same
mathematical precision, and they will continue to affect each thing on earth, including man,
as long as the earth exists.
~Linda Goodman (1929-1995)

A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of
twelve stars.
~The Bible: Revelations 12:1

Change is not made without inconvenience, even from worse to better.
~ Richard Hooker (1554-1600)

It is our less conscious thoughts and our less conscious actions which mainly mould our lives
and the lives of those who spring from us.
~ Samuel Butler (1835-1902)

The supreme state of human love is…
the unity of one soul in two bodies.
~Sri Aurobindo

Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting;
The Soul that rises with us, our Life’s Star,
Hath had elsewhere its setting,
And cometh from afar.
~ William Wordsworth

Hi Sun! Here's a better link. You can read the whole book online here:
The Kybalion - The Hermetic Philosophy - By Three Initiates

I bought the book awhile back. It's now one of my faves. You might want to pick it up, I think you'd like it. It's one you will want to read over and over again.

"Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law."
- The Kybalion.

Hey Xannie,
I just read your post where you credit Marianne Williamson with a quote - in fact, it's not hers, it's Nelson Mandela's ! She must have quoted him in one of her books. Just thought I'd let you and everyone know - thanks!

I found this quote but with no author!

"Look upon your normal consciousness as being like a block of ice. It is frozen and does not flow. You heat the ice and it turns into water (that is a quantum leap). You continue heating the water and it turns to steam (a quantum leap). The steam rises and disperses into the atmosphere (a quantum leap). Consciousness is like that. When it is like ice it perceives little. When it is like water it perceives more, but water still flows horizontally. When it turns to steam it rises; the dimension has changed from the horizontal to the vertical in relation to the world. Your perception has changed!"

They've chosen you, as much as you've chosen them.
And it really ticked-off all the other dreams, too."
