Nice ones.

This one has been repeating itself in my mind over the past few days:
"Where two are gathered, there I am....."

------------------
When you are one, and suddenly you see the oneness outside, all barriers disappear. Then there is no "I" and no "thou"; then there is only God, or Truth, or samadhi, or whatsoever word you like - nirvana.

"You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometime, you just might find, you get what you need." ~ The Rolling Stones

"All you need is love." ~ The Beatles

I guess I could quote Rumi or something, but I think these nicely say it all.

"Thou hypocrite, first cast out the two by four out of thine own eye: and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the splinter out of thy brother's eye."
Matthew 7:5

modern translation..

There is so much good in the worst of us,
And so much bad in the best of us,
That it ill behooves the best of us,
To talk about the rest of us.

You are a living magnet. What you attract into your life is in harmony with your dominant thoughts.
- Brian Tracy

Scorpio/Leo/Leo

"If I do not want what you want, please try not to tell me that my want is wrong. Or if I believe other than you, at least pause before you correct my view. Or if my emotion is less than yours, or more, given the same circumstances, try not to ask me to feel more strongly or weakly. Or yet if I act, or fail to act, in the manner of your design for action, let me be. I do not, for the moment at least, ask you to understand me. That will come only when you are willing to give up changing me into a copy of you." --David Kiersey

"It is not your passing inspirations or brilliant ideas so much as your everyday habits that control your life"
paramahansa yogananada

You are not at the mercy of events over which you have no control. There is little difference if you believe that your present life is caused by incidents in your early infancy or by events in past lives. Your events, your experiences, your lives are caused by your present beliefs. Change the beliefs and your life changes.

As the World Tree stands at the center of the vast planes of the cosmos, song stands at the intimate center of the cosmos of the individual. At that moment when the shaman song emerges, when the sacred breath rises up from the depths of the heart, the center is found, and the source of all that is divine has been tapped.

"Look into your misery and you will find certain fundamental things. It give you respect. People feel friendlier toward you, more sympathetic. You will have more friends if you are miserable. This is a very strange world, something is fundamentally wrong with it. It should not be so, the happy person should have more friends. But be happy and people become jealous of you, the are no longer friendly. They feel cheated; you have something that is no longer availiable to them. Why are you happy? So we have learned down the ages a subtle mechanism to repress happiness and to repress misery. It has become second nature.

You have to drop this mechanism. Learn how to be happy, and learn how to respect happy people and pay more attention to happy people. The will be a great service to humanity. Dont sympathize too much with people who are miserable. If sombody is miserable, help but dont sympathize. Dont give him the idea that misery is something worthwhile. Let him know perfectly well that you are helping him, but, "this is not out of respect, this is simply because you are miserable." And you are not doing anything but trying to bring the man out of his misery because misery it ugly. Let the person feel that the misery is ugly, that to be miserable is not something virtuous, that he is not doing a great service to humanity.

Be happy, respect happiness, and help people to understand that happiness is the goal of life. Whenever you see a blissful person, respect him, he is holy. And whenever you feel a gathering that is blissful, festive, think of it as a sacered place."

Osho

`Who are you?' said the Caterpillar. This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, `I--I hardly know, sir, just at present-- at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.'

Whether theyre laughing with you or at you, doesnt matter so much, as long as theyre laughing. ~ Me

Though I know others have said it as well. Sorry, not so esoteric-y is it? lol
It has it's own little place in the world, though.
