We'll definitely have to get back to this as the year progresses. In my heart of hearts, I can sense that right now, when people start getting aware of politics, especially since the next elections are coming up, it is certainly possible for a small amount of social unrest to escalate into some kind of civil war. It could be against the tightening security of the government. Not only this, but there are a lot of powerful people who want Bush to stay in office as there are a lot of powerful people who want Bush out of office. Websites like Moveon.org are growing in numbers because there are a lot of people starting to sense something is wrong. There is a serious debt going on, domestic issues aren't really being solved, and of course tighter security due to fear of terrorist attacks. All of this can potentially get worse during the year, and then cause a massive division against the people and the government. John Titor may be a phony, but he did predict this before the terrorist attack on the WTC. He does give out a small clue about loss of liberty which caused the civil war in the first place. The government believes that we want security instead of liberty, and they end up being wrong. Which in a way, is good for us.-StarLover IP: Logged |

I'm not sure which founding father it was who said it, but one of them said that a people who give up liberty for safety deserve neither. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." ...I also posted this in Astral Realms!Last night I had a dream about the predictions of John Titor. I dreamt that I travelled to the future to see my family and they told me horrible things that have happened similar to what John Titor predicted. They told me some of my family members escaped with different names because of the government. They told me about the Civil War that begins during my time, and then they talked about the horror of World War 3. I asked if 3 billion people really died from the war. But they didn't answer that, and told me that 10 million people in America had died. Now I am not saying this is prophetic because it probably is not, but what else can it mean? I haven't done research about John Titor in months, and I remembered some of the things he wrote accurately. What does it mean? -StarLover IP: Logged |

Cool Rainbow! I think all of Johns material is at the site but the book covers some his mothers views if thats worth $14.99.Seems they know that and only shared review info thats by John except for one blurb by Mom.Editorial Reviews Excerpted from John Titor A Time Traveler's Tale by The John Titor Foundation Inc. Copyright © 2003. Reprinted by permission. All rights reserved. CHAPTER 1 NOVEMBER 2000 John’s mother in our time: "John began posting online with my husband’s computer and email address. After about a week, he started using alternate names and Internet routes for his activity. We expressed concern about our security but he assured us we were safe. He said that not only would no one believe him but also the technology to locate him would not be used or could be defeated for a short period. He also had an unusual amount of trust with the people he spoke with online." John, Page 6: "You do not rewrite history. I can only affect what happens here just as easily as you can. Why do people in this time period worry so much about time travelers destroying their world line when they have no problem doing it themselves every day?" John, Page 8: "Imagine you live in the year 1900 and a "time traveler" attempts to explain how a jet engine works. Even though the invention of the airplane is only a decade in the future, he would have to find some frame of reference to explain the basics of flight. Then, he would have to outline the mechanics of how the engine works. As amazing as it would sound, the jet would be invented about thirty years later. " John, Page 20: "As far as war goes, I have faith you are quite capable of starting one all by yourself. I am hard pressed to accept any criticism on my outlook on that subject. Growing up might have been a vastly different experience for me than it was for most of you. Personal responsibility, determination, honor, friendship and self-reliance are not just words we try to live up to or fantasize about. " John, Page: 21 "Perhaps I should let you all in on a little secret. No one likes you in the future. This time period is looked at as being full of lazy, self-centered, civically ignorant sheep. Perhaps you should be less concerned about me and more concerned about that." John, Page 25: "I like the incredible freedom you have on this world line but I see it as a trap and I fear the cost is the loss of your sense of connection with family and community. Yes, you can self actualize your ambitions but at what cost to the people around you, or yet to be born? The incredible availability of art, literature and limitless resources is hardly taken advantage of as I imagine the number of people sitting in front of their TVs. " Book Description Perhaps one of the most amazing tales ever told, there is still debate online over this compilation of Internet posts made by a man claiming to be a real time traveler from our future. Is John Titor science fiction or science fact? After a world war in our future, John Titor claimed to have used a military time machine to travel from the year 2036. His story spans from 1975 where his mission was to obtain a computer system needed in his future. For mysterious reasons, instead of going home, he came forward to visit with his family and young self in 1998. From November of 2000 to March 2001, John spoke directly to numerous people on many Internet forums and chat rooms. In the posts, he discusses the future, the technology of time travel and his feelings about our society. Did he accurately predict the development of future physics, the reasons behind the Gulf War and the coming of mad cow disease to the U.S.? John Titor A Time Traveler’s Tale, was compiled by John’s mother in our time and bound in a 5.5 x 8.5 paperback protected by a laminated front and back cover. With 164 pages of text, the book also contains 9 pages of black and white photos John posted of his time machine and the operations manual that came with it! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can you imagine going back in time, and meeting yourself....as a three year old? *sigh*......and he says his parents who are alive today will also be alive in 2035....but they have no memory of his coming back to this time when he was three (six now, I guess)....kinda reminds me of TERMINATER, the popular movie in which the gov of California starred.... I truly hope his predictions about a civil war next year are totally untrue.....*sigh*... ....but the way things are unfolding now, maybe he's right..... ...oh well....whatever will be, will be...I guess... Actually lets face it time travel is not possible and could never be. Except maybe regression therapy. It's weird after this message that I'm editing I went to type in my password and instead of bewitched I typed believe The post originally was saying I thought he was telling the truth because alot of things he said coincided with some of my information and that only if this war happened, could he have known certain things. But that doesn't mean he's a timetraveler just very intuned. IP: Logged |

Actually I truly believe Time Travel is possible, and I have heard from sources that physcists are developing this theory as we speak. Time traveling is possible by natural means and perhaps now technologically. The reason I find John Titor so eery is of the little things that he mentions. For instance he is writing in the year 2000 and he uses the term "weapons of mass destruction" which was not coined until Bush said it during his speeches concerning the Iraq War in 2003. He also mentions that the Earth in 2036 is relatively "cooler" than present day. That is extremely accurate, and if he had mentioned global warming he would have been questionable since global warming is a complete and utter myth. When he wrote about the capital moving to Omaha, Nebraska I was like, "Are you kidding me?" But then I learned that Omaha, Nebraska is a place where they conduct defensive and offensive nuclear war testing. It's a huge safe spot. I mean I could go on and on with some of the things that he mentions which are completely eery. However some of it sounds ludicrous since it's so far into the future. For instance why would Russia want to attack USA, China, and Europe when it's been such a docile country since the last decade or more? Why would it then become USA's greatest ally? Things like that remain questionable. He also writes that something strange will happen in 2012 concerning something with the Egyptians and the Red Sea. The Middle East will take care of its self by using nuclear weapons on one another. Terrible terrible stuff. P.S. My parents said to me when they retire (can't change their minds) that they will either move down to Florida or go back to Portugal's islands (Azores). I just thought that was interesting since I was thinking about how long this area will stay safe for. -StarLover IP: Logged |
