Leo: joyful leader (second/third stage transition)As is the case with any sign, the transition into third stage usually begins when the individual's life becomes too painful to cope with, and he begins a quest to understand himself and his life from a new level. Or it may begin more peacefully as the individual becomes drawn to the great within and gradually begins to shed his emphasis, conscious or unconscious as it may be, upon the outside world and his accomplishments or lack thereof. ... His Leonine courage reasserts itself and he begins to take pride in his willingness to see the truth about himself and his life. He is gradually learning to let himself unfold at a smooth and natural pace. He is no longer afraid to see the doorway to the greatest Universe which lies within himself, for he no longer feels that he must be all-powerful in order to be worthy of love. He knows that there is a greatness beyond him - and paradoxically also within him - which he could never hope to manage or control, and so he learns to let it be, and to let its majesty flow around and within him. ... ... This experience also teaches Leo yet another important lesson - he does not have to do it all by himself. The onus is not on him. There is nothing he need do to make himself worthy, except to recognize that he already is. The Spirit of Life truly makes no demands, yet there are certain responsibilities, such as a willingness to be constantly aware, and to overcome the tendency to lie to oneself. Ultimately this new path leads once again to the achievement of greatness, but for this individual the greatness is far less important than the experience of the moment. IP: Logged |

Virgo: world healer (second/third stage transition)To the outside observer it would seem that the second stage of Virgo is really in most ways a colossal waste of time. However there is a purpose to this journey into the darkness. In first stage this individual innocently believed that all she needed to do was to land upon Earth and set up shop, and she would be able to begin healing the world. However, life does not work that way. In essence, Virgo is required to take the burdens of the world upon herself, living through at least some of the diseases of the mind and spirit which afflict the people, before she will truly have the ability to set others free. She must live out the dictum: "Physician heal thyself". Then she will be able to say to others, "I have been there and back, and I know that there is a way out. If I can do it, so can you." This approach works wonders, enabling others to look into her eyes, knowing that what she says is true, and be strengthened and inspired by her example. ... ... Once the willingness to change has been achieved, the first (and ultimately the only) step is to begin the process of listening within, allowing herself to feel, and regain contact with all of the aspects of the self from which she has been alienated. Above all, it is crucial that this individual learn to stop lying to herself in any way. ... When all of the aspects of the self are balanced, the tremendous power of the inner voice emerges. The inner voice is the greatest key to self-healing and self-realization that anyone possesses. Once is has been found, the mid-point of the transition into third stage has been reached. More and more the individual will learn to rely upon this aspect of her being, as it teaches her how to stand alone but never lonely and to be intimate without endangering or losing the Self.
