Hi Julah! Love your reference to that book! Stranger in a Strange Land, by Robert Heinlein. Read that decades ago. Very much enjoyed finding the word 'grok'-- How perfect! def "To grok means to understand and empathize with something or someone to the extent that the object or person becomes part of ones' sense self." --UrbanDictionary Loved the "fair witness" too-- which is a "trained observer who has learned how to gather facts without making 'extrapolations or assumptions'." e.g. When she saw a 'horse' to offer witness about, she didn't "assume" that if you see the left-side, that the right-side actually exists??? .. Pearlty has a longtime thread for folks to add their quotes or good references that pertain to writing, communications. (She's Gemini, of course! .. and a self-published author of several books of poetry.) Lots of great pages there. We'd love your addition. Ha! Oh Wow!! I clicked on the hyperlinked url, and discovered that this book is written on the life of Jesus Christ. As a matter of 'data collecting' (I'm a Gemmy too!!!, with Virgo Moon ..), you could also add this link to the LL Divine Diversities Forum. If you'd like to contribute this material you have? Here's a link to longer thread on The (Three) Wise Men. It gets bumped at several times during the span of the Advent, Christmas and Epiphany Seasons. I'd done another search.. The place that Julah lists as being 'from'-- "..I have been a stranger in a strange land.." is a title of a poem by Rita Dove. Beautiful!!!I posted it in 'Poetry Thoughts' thread by Pearlty, in Yellow Wax forum. {Scroll down the page} - http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum17/HTML/002703-16.html

May God Preserve and Protect our Younger Generations-- and the Old who walk our Earth. Let them serve the other, hand in hand.QUOTE yt-- "The soprano Aria 'I Know That My Redeemer Liveth,' from the third part of Handel's Messiah. This recording is mean to replicate a 1751 performance of Messiah given in London, in which Handel employed trebles (rather than adults) on the soprano arias.
