Playing the skeptic (something I really enjoy doing ), I think we should keep in mind that Spiritual beliefs are not universal. Maybe the reason nobody else in high school thinks about Spirituality is that they don't believe in it. I know that sounds obvious. But if people believe in a materialistic world- which is their right- it's only reasonable to expect them to ignore everything else.

If everyone has a spirit/soul, then in that way they are all 'spiritual' whether they're aware of it or not.. whether they believe in it or not.

I think the problem in high school (but not only in highschool) isn't the lack of spirituality as such.. it's the lack of a positive display of spirituality..

A lot of times there's a display of the negative.

I totally agree. many kids at my school are not really spiritual at all. At times it makes me feel like I don't belong and I long to be somewhere else. It makes me sad alot because I can't relate to them and not many of them like astrology or study it.
