I'm having a low self-esteem phase where everything about myself seems like it's not good enough. I have no idea where it came from, but I feel all worthless and inadequate.IP: Logged |

You're not that way at all. You are how you view yourself to be, so imagine greatness. It is you. You're worth a lot to someone someday with a lovely future soon your way! IP: Logged |

Aww, CS Do things which you enjoy. Go to the movies, pamper yourself ect anything which makes you feel good. You're just going through a wonky period which could be caused by stress (maybe subconsciously). It will pass. Hope you feel better soon. ------------------ quote: Remember, love can conquer the influences of the planets....It can even eliminate karma.

Thanks for checking Randall. Not really, I feel the same, I think it has to do with college acceptance. I want to go to a really selective college and don't think I have what it takes...weaknesses in my application and things, makes me feel as if I haven't done enough/am not good enough. I have never experienced a weird period like this before and have no idea how to get out of it IP: Logged |

Just ride it out. You will get accepted at the right college for you, which you will know once you start to attend.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." I understand the worry and stress, because this is a very important and pivotal life decision, but it will be as it is supposed to be--you will see. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." what are you planning to study in college that you want to get into such a highly selective one? IP: Logged |

Thanks doomlord!I actually opted to take the ACT instead of the SAT, and I don't know if that's an option for international students. But practice practice practice! The SAT is tricky, you have to know how to work around the problems rather than know the subject it's testing. For example, being really good at reading doesn't guarantee a high reading score because the questions themselves will be tricky. Enough practice and experience working around those traps and you should be fine. Have you taken it yet? What score did you get? IP: Logged |
