Not soon enough lol, I can't wait to go!!!!!! My orientation was june 18th-19th and I picked out my fall and spring schedule. I met a girl with the SAME EXACT birthday lol it was so cool! I got a job on campus too at this mini grocery store in my dorm neighborhood, so I'm finally gonna be employed lol. I chose to major in accounting still though, I might as well take a few classes to decide whether I like it or not first. I checked all my professors at ratemyprofessor and they all have really good ratings... Except one -__- and I don't think I can switch into another class either

omg its all so confusing in the states. arent you supposed to have general studies with your "profession" courses? and we only have a "degree experience" rate for specific universities. where i was planning to go it was said that the place is good but the people are stock up (psychology students XD) i started working in a high-tech company as an electronics worker *full time* till recruitment. luckily the law allows me free space to do anything i need with the army ^^ ong i so hope everything will go ok. We do have general course requirements that need to be fulfilled to graduate, but beyond that you have to take classes fitting your major. Chiemi why accounting? Just curious Sounds a lot more confusing over in Israel doomlord IP: Logged |

Nah we just need to go through the army thing and it gets simpler. We pick a major and we get courses *only* in that field unless there are other requirements (2 fields degree/ university specific course requirement) I am also confused on why accounting of all things IP: Logged |

Pssh I agree with cancer/scorpio, it all seems confusing where you are DL lolAnd we have general courses here too that you're required to take. I chose accounting because I really like business and even if I don't stay with accounting I'm pretty positive my major will be business related. I took all the accounting classes in high school though and I really liked it and the concepts weren't hard for me to grasp. PLUS it's stable. Even if I chose to start my own business or work in a different field altogether an accounting degree is still handy (plus they're always in demand).

whats confusing you girls? XD thats the thing here we have 1/2 TOPS courses that are outside the major and thats why most of out degrees are 3 yearsand not 4. lol as a person who studied some management and saw my mom work at this i never ever want to find myself dealing with managing XD anyways accounting is not the only good field one can go to (business administration is actually far less stable than i thought....at least here...) Everything! Guess it's easier when you're going through it, I've heard that our system is pretty complex too.You can usually skip the general requirements with AP/IB credit though, and even without extra credits they're pretty easy to get out of the way. Agreed dl, business has never been my thing, so much changeability. IP: Logged |

I wont lie, its a very confusing process to go through (and yes they do it on purpose in order to use people easily....sad but true) Now im far into this whole process so i know more and i hope this knowledge will help me get through this with everything intact. Monday is test day ^^ Was called on thursdsy and was congratulated for being summoned for test for the position. Hope it will go well. IP: Logged |
