well....luckly i have seen myself a lot of very smart teens who i am sure will do great things in life.... but who knows...maybe the world will be run by apes XD IP: Logged |

High schools out here aren't that bad. Well, there are some rough ones, but the good ones are okay. The food at my school is horrible so I go off campus to get lunch. We usually have to take English - 4 years Math- 3 years History- 4 years Science- 3 years Music- 2 years Foreign language- 2 years Art- 2 years Physical Ed- 2 years We also have electives: Drama, sociology, film study, dance, etc. There have always been cliques at every school I've been at. Every clique kind of has a title or its own reputation, you know? Also, a lot of the teens at my school seem to think their sense of fashion is a BIG deal and defines their..."swag" We have lots of clubs and athletic teams. I think I may join the swim team and French club again this year. My school is pretty LGBT friendly. IP: Logged |

Heehee, then I guess you don't It's complicated to explain, basically an advanced program that you can enter by choice. Spans the last two years of high school and, if you meet all the requirements, you graduate with not only a high school graduate diploma but an IB diploma as well (very good to show off to colleges). They're both advanced programs that have insanely hard tests at the end of the course and that's where the similarities end. AP is class specific, IB takes over your entire schedule and spans an entire two years with extra requirements like 150 hours in community service and a college level essay....blegh. An AP class is harder than an IB class though, but combined with the other stuff they're both pretty strenuous. IP: Logged |

I opted out of AP calc after a rough patch with precalc. I'm more than positive I'd go crazy from stress if I went ahead with it this year. Kudos to everyone who can handle that stuff though. IP: Logged |

actually i think there is something similiar maybe.... we have a P.E program that can be done after high school...only that after you get it it works life a "mini-degree" and it not only makes you a more attractive candidate but it actually allows you to enter the job market...especially at high tech companies... You're the lucky one! I wish I was a senior. I'm kind of over high school. I'm also pretty nervous for the ACTS. IP: Logged |

I'm happy that so many teachers at my school are so supportive of the students' orientations. Also, my new principal is a lesbian and our school had a float in the pride parade. There are a few people at my school who don't support LGBT. I even saw a guy pick on another guy because he was wearing heels and that really ****** me off. IP: Logged |

It's not that bad lol I'm just a major worry wart when it comes to my education and whether or not my grades are good enough. Even if I don't get accepted I can still find a good college with my grades. I'm going to apply to other colleges but it's only one that I like and want to go to the most.IP: Logged |

Can you do a job shadow there? It's basically like you watch someone work in the field you're interested in so you can get a feel for the job. IP: Logged |
