The cool kids didn't dress out. Or people thought of them as cool. At 16, we could legally drop out.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." I also dropped out at 16 and later got my GED. I feel it's one of the best decisions I made in my life and my only regret is I didn't drop out of school a lot sooner. IP: Logged |

I'll agree with UD on the definition of "high school" here: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=high+school There are many (including myself) who'd say those definitions are being diplomatic. Offhand the only good thing I can think to say about it is it's better than middle school in nearly every way (which is damning it with faint praise). I'll try to remember to share my personal experiences later. But I need to go to bed now and I really dislike remembering it.

I haven't talked to anyone from my old high school, but I have talked to those I went to school with in middle school in East Texas. If I ever had kids of my own they would never set foot in a public school. As it is I help take care of 2 kids and both go to school but they have standing offers to homeschool (or unschool) any time they like. I pay real close attention to what their school life is like.
