It's been almost 1,5 years since I finished another degree swearing that it would be the last time I would find myself somewhere between classes, lectures, assignments (ugh) and deadlines. But my best friend was here at Christmas to see me and we were talking about work and education in general and this familiar desire ran through me again and now I want to do a Master's degree. Great! There goes my promise to myself that I have done so many things since finishing school, I should be more than satisfied and now it's time for me to lay back and take it more easy! My best friend returned to Vermont to do the Master, whereas me upon getting back to Greece I had already a job waiting for me and so I postponed it for another time. But now I think this time for me has come. Again. Ok, I know that I can't go back to Vermont again, I could never leave my students behind, but I want that Master. We'll see... I'm still in search of it, haven't decided yet about where or how and mostly about when, as my free time is very limited. And I'm wondering while I'm sharing my thoughts here... I'm still trying to find a way of how am I going to do what I want to do. The only day and time I have free is Sunday and many times I have to go for extra lessons even on that day, as there is always some assignment or statement of inquiry that has to be handed in or exams etc etc etc. How I wish there were more than 24 hours in a day!IP: Logged |

When??? Just find me a day and give me a time. Yesterday, for example, I was working non-stop from 10:00am to 18:00pm with 2 breaks of what? 10 minutes each? I got back home and just...dropped dead. Anyway... I don't usually work so many hours on Saturdays. Today, to give another example, I was all day correcting mock exam tests and working on the laptop putting in grades and writing comments on students' report cards for the upcoming parents' sessions. I don't dare to think of having some sort of an assignment to submit on top of all these!IP: Logged |

I had something really interesting in mind that I wanted to start in June. I had already made my phone calls and sent my e-mails and then the principal called me in office last week to ask me to run a super intensive course that is going to start right after the school year ends on the 15th of June. It will be held every day from 9:00am to 14:00pm. She trusts me blindly. I am free to do anything I want and I could never let her down. So, plans have been cancelled for the time being. And now, she just sent me a message in our WhatsApp group saying "You're one of life's most loveable people". These are her exact words I'm reading right now in her message. Hmmm... She's probably thinking about the work we have to do after the school year ends. I will not answer anything, I should probably let her rest because it is already 23:30pm here...IP: Logged |

Taking a short break from working on students' report cards since morning, basically to have lunch, I look at my next academic year planner I have written down in my notebook and it looks like that at least 3 to 4 days of the week my last lesson will be finishing at 21:30pm. Working on this new summer intensive course's syllabus, format, assignments, everything, along with a some-hundred-page textbook content that needs to be covered in 3 weeks? Hmmm...as I see it, I will be probably running a sprint. And I don't mind about this, I'm just afraid that I won't have time on my side to "bring" all those "things" of mine I always bring to my classes...IP: Logged |

I haven't told anyone yet, but a few days ago I had to go back to Athens to the department of Ministry of Education to get a paper I was waiting for a long time to be officially approved. It's a whole new teaching licence. I guess I can officially teach now History of Art...IP: Logged |
