Let’s say his name is Adam. Me and Adam were never really close but because we had mutual friends, we had reasons to talk. In grade 10, he was my lab partner but we never had anything to talk about other than school or what happened with our mutual friend. Often people would be like “oh Adam ” But I ignored it because I was in a relationship. A year later, still being in this relationship, I found out he was in both my afternoon classes and somehow I got happy. I sat with my best friend in math and he sat behind her. We talked all casual about tests, assignments, or I would tell them something extreme that happened over the weekend. Me and Adam got close, not in a friend friend way, but in a way where I’d go up and talk to him all the time just about math. One day, he came up to me saying “your boyfriend got shot, “ And I’m just like it’s Adam being Adam. He said after “I’d be happy if he got shot.” After he said it, I was like .. What?! I guarded the door and asked him why. He wouldn’t tell me and finally he’s like “I love you”. Again, It’s Adam being Adam. His flirty personality but only in a friendly stage. Often in class, he would talk to me, if anyone said I was stupid just because he would say “No, Amanda is smart”. If I was ever super quiet in class because of something that happened in my relationship, he would be like “ Amanda, why are you so quiet”. I would shrug and stay quiet. After weeks and weeks carrying on our gain of “friendship”, my best friend and our other friend Daniel would say how Adam likes me. After hearing it, I thought “I honestly think I like him too..” Two days later after nonstop thinking about Adam and our friends seeing us walking in the halls giving us gestures, I broke up with my boyfriend. After, I would try and flirt with Adam but he’s the most VAGUE person I’ve ever met. I honestly don’t think he’s ever had a girlfriend. He would be like “If you give me a compliment, I’ll give you one too.” So I complimented him on his smile and he doesn’t give one back. I’m just like hey, wheres mines ! He would reply “It’s cute how you think your smarter than me,” continuing our daily arguments about who’s smarter than who. He tried to be like “I want to see if you’ll get mad if I don’t give you a compliment” and its like WHY. After the semester ended, I switched into his class just to get to know him better but he doesn’t know that. Then finally, I took the chance and asked him out. He smiled and said “talk to me later” because I had to go to my next class. I gave it 2 days then talked to him again. He told me “I have to talk to somebody first.” And it was like .. Who do you really have to talk too? But I just stopped asking. One day, he would treat me like I don’t even exist, and when I treat him like he doesn’t, he tries to get my attention. At this point, I really don’t know what to do because I like him so much. I can’t even act like the way I did in math when we were just “friends”. It seems so much harder even after getting like a billon mixed signals from him.

Again you should ask and see
Explain that you feel he is hinting you....it might create an awekward situation if it ends up as nothing but at least you will have your peace of mind
