I've been saying that I want to be a lawyer since I was 8 years old. I didn't even know why and I didn't have a reason either .. I wanted to be a lawyer and that was that. Now, 9 years later, I suddenly feel like I wanna be a full-time elementary school teacher (like my Mom) because I LOVE children. Is this because of my Pisces Midheaven?!I took Law this year because I needed the French credit and to see if I like it, which I don't. I'm passing the course with an 84, but at the same time, I'm bored out of my mind in class! My family keeps encouraging me to not give up on my lawyer dream, but I tried it and I don't like it. Should I try take the course in English next year, just to give it another shot? I feel like maybe there's a reason I wanted to be a lawyer so badly and maybe it's too soon to give up and say I don't like law .. I'm only 16 and I'll most likely have other chances to take Law classes, right?! My dad told my older sister to be a lawyer, but she didn't listen and went into the IT part of Business. Now she feels unsatisfied with what she has and doesn't want me making the same mistake and ending up like her; always short on money .. She thinks I'll have higher chances of succeeding in the future if I have a well-paid job, and higher chances of getting a high salary if I study law. I'm worried and just want to make sure that I'm making the right decision and taking the right path.. At the end of the day, I'm definitely not going to bust my ass studying for a career that I won't even like. IP: Logged |

You can learn to be a good lawyer, but teaching can't be taught.IP: Logged |

Well she feels like she succeeded in life, but she's just not satisfied with what she has IP: Logged |

I'm still indecisive. I think I've still got 2-3 years to decide on what I wanna do with my life. I took Canadian & International law next year to give it another shot. But if the course bores, law can kiss my ass bye-bye

True. Ugh. Working in law enforcement is 3 in my top 4 options, but I'd have to go to college to become a police officer and my parents won't let me. IP: Logged |

Midwifery, but there's only 3 uni programs in Ontario and they're really competitive. Plus I suck at anything at anything Math & Science related IP: Logged |
