Peluches! {{{ }}} What a Beautiful, Beautiful song, and performance.... Soooo Elegant! Thank you. Wishing YOU sooo many Blessings. Merry Christmas (from a youtube comment on another vid) A rough translation of lyrics: "Pastorcito Santo" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vc1J_nZkGAg Coat of pearls son of the morning, Where are you going in the cold so early? As you are the bright star Of my dawn bringing day born first; Shepherd and Lamb, no hut or wool, Where are you going in the cold so early? Pearls in the eyes, Laughter in the mouth, to pleasure and anger causes souls; hair burning red, scarlet mouth, Where are you going in the cold so early? What you must do Holy shepherd, both rising up early? I give to understand if you are going to see disguised as the soul Where are you going in the cold so early? *mountain1* Yes, The Celebration of A Royal Lamb, who was born and laid into a feeding trough, in an environment amidst animals smells and the squalors inside a barn... I'm so happy there's another true Classical Music Lover here at LL, Peluches .I saw you mention the piano piece you're working on. Moszkowski? I knew a girl once who had studied that piece. Crazy piece!! You don't need to study scales for that... That IS a study in scales! haha. I was self-taught, and tried to tackle the Revolutionary Etude, Chopin. ... But I just didn't have that speed. Same with the 3rd Movement to Moonlight Sonata. I don't lack the Romantic Passion for it though! January 7 is Poulenc's Birthday!
Cheers for The Musicians, and Pianists (and wanna-be's (was me) haha) among us. I used to hang out with a few people who were piano majors in college. They could be sooo cool and kooky! Like this guy! (music) Gloria: IV. Domine fili unigenite (F. Poulenc, just piano, John Sargeant pianist) [1:30] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVbx4telX_A IP: Logged |

Mirage I'm a fellow struggler on the Revolutionary Etude, so it's okay ! I had a few technique problems too, but I wasn't really disappointed because I could play at least my favourite part, the soft rustles at the end. ((: Happy birthday to Poulenc ! And that was such a great and funny performance ! I used to play this piece about two years ago... ♫ Poulenc - Improvisation n°15 (Hommage à Edith Piaf) IP: Logged |
