I don't have much to add about your last dream, it does seem to be about freedom, 'exhileration', and restriction or caution. I am still not sure about the skate/surf boards, but I think the basic symbolism of the Ocean adds another dimension to the meaning, possibly.

The Ocean is a symbol of the Collective Unconscious, the Great Mother. The dream could be reflecting your current experiences with it ... you have embraced the awe and power of it, are experiencing the movement of it, you appreciate it. And what a perfect symbol (surfing the ocean) for an awakening dreamer. In addition to this, the emerging feminine theme remains constant (mum/ocean) ... and I notice that wherever there is a feminine presence in your dreams, it is at that point that the whole tone of the dream changes.

Oh, and we cannot forget or underestimate the power of the feelings that we can experience in our dreams ... that in itself is worth dreaming! I mean, where else are you going to take on a 100 meter wave, barefoot, and without fear? Very cool.
