This isn't about a dream, but I was hoping someone could help me decipher some symbolism. Twice on my way to Atlanta in the past week (law school), while driving around 75 mph, a yellow buttefly flew up to my car. I just figured it was a coincidence. But today, as I left my front door, another yellow butterfly flew up to me. And as I came back home, it happened again (it might have been the same one I saw earlier). That's four times, and it's not Spring anymore, so it can't be simply by chance. What does it mean? IP: Logged |

I believe the yellow butterfly had special significance for some Native American tribes - it was a very positive symbol to them. I don't know what your spiritual beliefs are, but I've been told by multiple people that one of my spirit guides communicates with me through the presence of a certain flower associated with a former life we shared together. Perhaps one of your guides is trying to communicate with you or just show that they are supporting your current path through the presence of the butterfly? If anything it seems as though the Universe wants you to take notice of a positive, hopeful symbol.Obviously not an expert - just a thought IP: Logged |

To confirm above about the Native American beliefs, I was always told by my grandmother that to see multiple butterflies, is to be protected by your ancestors and passed on family. It can also represent that they are also in your presence at the moment, and that they are still with you to support you in anyway they can. IP: Logged |

Randall, I have a handful of things I've learned from reading. Firstly, I personally see butterflies by the right&left wing. Looking at them takes my mind to our 'souls' of our feet. I've a strong feeling there is a connection because in my readi g regarding B-Flies, they can represent Psyche from mythology. They metamorphosis from the caterpillar, it seems maybe how we evolve. (I think of Kundali and may have read that as well.) In the spiritual sense. Yellow can relate to Mercury. As with anything it has both positive or negative, depending on the person it is intended for. Here's a good a link: https://www.colormatters.com/the-meanings-of-colors/yellow IP: Logged |

I heard a yellow butterfly have a very short life, something like a life expectation of 1 day but I don't if is true.Butterflies have short lives overall.Usually 2 weeks/1 month, some species live for months but still a short time.Anyway they come here and do their work. The meaning for me is enjoying life and our purpose here, enjoying the time that is given to us. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 IP: Logged |

One of the Sabian degree symbols describes a vision of a butterfly with 3-wings... 2 on one side, 1 on the other. http://www.mindfire.ca/An%20Astrological%20Mandala/An%20Astrological%20Mandal a%20-%20Contents.htm (music) Love is Like a Butterfly (Dolly Parton) [2:21] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywFx-nGZXxI Here's another Butterfly collector's photo album...
