Can some who study dreams speak on the possible meaning of twins?

I used to have a lot of twin dreams, sometimes of myself, sometimes of others. I had a strange one recently that I think counts as a twin dream though I was not either one.

As they differ, I don't want to explain the context or the different dreams. I'd just like something to work with that I don't find in online dream dictionaries.

I've even been unsatisfied with what Jung had to say on twins, I'm reasonably sure not applicable to me (for the most part).

Note, these are always adult twins. Not giving birth to twins (going by dream dictionaries, I guess there are a lot of people dreaming of giving birth to twins rather than meeting them...)

Could it be you had a twin who did not survive in the womb? Or maybe you had a twin at a different life. Another possibility is you're occupied with the double, dual nature of reality, and finding out about similar yet different sides of a certain situation or person. If you dream you have a twin, maybe it is a way to relate to yourself from the outside, to see yourself in an enstranged, different light, and so discover hidden sides of yourself.
