Just looked at the weather forecast for north Michigan, Marquette to be exact. If you live anywhere near there, you're in for 5 days or so of really cold and colder weather. Brrrrrrr, that looks like Drambouie weather to me Never leave home without it. Ha, ha, ha, you and me, Little brown jug, don't I love thee! Drambouie is a little rich for my taste; I go with good ol Southern Comfort shots mellowed with a sip of 7 up. Gets the blood a pumping & the feet a dancing. Marquette is in the upper U.P. and I`m a troll... I live under the bridge . . . I live in whats called the 'snow belt' . We get 2 ft of snow while the outer perimeter gets a dusting... It`s about a 30 mile radius around me. we`re having a heat wave, tropical heat wave today it`s 15 deg. and it`s snowing like a bugger, can`t have it all ya know Cheers and find a snowbird to cuddle with. juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

Well Nackie, there is something about Drambouie that warms one all the way down to the toes and without flaming out the throat on the way down. Clever people, the Scots. I like Scottish Terriers too. Didn't know you were a Southern Comfort fan juniperb. Makes a great Mint Julep but I don't think you'll be ready for that for about 4 months. jwhop IP: Logged |

ooh, I actually have a great recipe for home-made kahlua. Sorry to hear you're under the weather juniperb. Perhaps you can coax Mr. Cancer into making you a hot toddy? I took some nyquil last night and boy did it knock me out. Tonight's remedy is soup, tea and definitely some TLC

What's Drambuie???!!!??? Girl, you've been missing out. What to say, what to say. A drink of poets. A secret recipe. A royal connection ( Bonnie Prince Charlie of course). Who could ask for more? Basically - Scottish wiskey flavored with a bit of honey and mountain herbs. Good stuff. Jwhop is right. Smooooooth. Reading good ole' Robbie Burns with a bottle of Drambuie is one of Life's finer pleasures.Dash it all Jwhop, that's the second time you've confused me with someone else. What's a girl got to do to get a little attention around here? IP: Logged |

Well juniperb, this is for Charlevoix, MI. Perhaps you're on the other side of the weather divide. Maybe you just need to walk across the road to experience that heat wave. Or maybe the weather---person just needs to clean the crystal ball. Send Windex We're havin a heat wave A tropical heat wave The temperatures rising, it isn't surprising She certainly can, can can! Wednesday: Windy with snow and blowing snow. High 29F. Winds SSW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 70%. 2 to 4 inches of snow expected. Wednesday night: Periods of snow and windy with blowing snow. Low 12F. Winds WNW at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of snow 70%. Snow accumulating 3 to 5 inches. Well, the sun is shining, the bees are buzzing, the fish are jumping, the birds are singing, the grass is growing, and the cotton is about this---|---high. But what else would you expect in Paradise? jwhop IP: Logged |

Your tune warmed me right up Yup I`m on the great divide. The 'snow belt' . It has something to do with the distance from lake Mi and the way we sit. All I know is we get 6 in & Charlevoix gets nil. Guess thats why they`re a booming wealthy city & we`re just snowed in peons juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |
