Oxy, so cool that you had a good time! It's been years since I've been in NYC, but yeah, you can stay out so late there, truly a city that never sleeps. And so much to do!

My date was really great. Awesome guy, on/off kind of thing. Saturday it was on.

Has everyone else survived the weekend well?

Merc may have gone direct but Mars sure as heck hasn`t I lost internet service for 24 of the longest hours of my life. Seems the server took a power surge & knocked out the t 3 connection, what ever that is. I was so p.o.`d cuz I thought it was my computer & was visualizing $$$$ out the window.

Glad you liked the froggers I have pages of em. You, jwhop, just know the way to a gals

Cocktail hour!! juniperb

What's for dinner...I mean, cocktails, juniperb?

Trillian, that's cool about the guy. What's his sign, if you don't mind me asking? Ah, dating, such a strange phenomenon. And why is it usually dinner? I've never understood that. Besides, bad eating habits turn me off big time.

Juniperb, glad to see you back!! Mars will be back to normal...eventually...

Acyually Oxy, my cocktails are very health oriented ... Pure distilled 100 proof Rum, add diet/caffine free coke and a tbsp fresh squeezes lemon juice. Nonfattening, high energy, and vitiman C for anything that ails you

Good morning my friends! It's just a lovely a.m., and I'm feelin' kinda playful.

juniperb, welcome back! So glad to hear it wasn't the 'puter itself! You know, the Mars/Merc stuff fried the radiator in my car, fried my TV (at least that happened the day before Merc Rx, so I could buy a new one), and of course some other stuff I won't recap here, so like you I am sooo glad we're nearing the end. These have been some tough transits for so many of us! I can almost smell the fresh air...

Oxy, he's a piece of work! Sun, Venus and Mars all in Gemini! Moon in Sag, Virgo rising and Merc in Cancer. We don't always see the world the same way and he is far more cynical than I, and there is physical distance which contributes to the on/off...but his mind is so sharp and he has gorgeous pale blue eyes and a really cute butt...

You know, how did we ever survive without computers? I didn't find Matrix 2 to be a profound movie, but it did pose the question: Do we own machines, or do they own us?

Have a lovely day!

Hi trillian, good idea. A martini or two will fix anything. Glad you had a nice weekend.

I showed Microsoft a thing or two, Oxy? Guess I could write up my repair methods and email them to Gates but he would think them sacrilege and I might need him one day for another worm patch!

juniperb, I know the way to a gals heart? Oh, I have to write this down. The way to a woman's heart is frogs. Well, that explains a lot. I thought it was cards, candy, dinners and dancing, sentimental movies and if all that failed, likker Hell, I wasn't even close. Guess it always pays to go directly to the source if you want the straight poop. Thanks

juniperb, you are so right!
In fact, any guy, any sign, holding a creature with a sincere, goofy loving expression will melt my heart more than anything fleeting like flowers and candy.

I love men who love animals.

Count me in! I love guys who love animals too.

Juniperb, Nice frog impression. You're right, theres nothing cuter than a Leo holding an animal and gushing all over it. My Taurus buddy also loves his cats. One even slept with me, curled up on my arm. It's so fun to watch guys with their pets.

jwhop, I know you'll make some lady very lucky. (If you're not already) Hey, what's Bill Gates' sign?

"straight poop"

Trillian, the Gemini sounds cool. I had something similar with a Leo. He had beautiful blue eyes and a cute too.

Hump day...Can't wait for today to be over! Although, the smell of fall is in the air.

My Cancers saving grace, when I get so annoyed by his family being underfoot, is his giant heart for the four leggeds. I couldn`t do it without his help & love for them all

Thanks Oxy, I`ve had lots of practice calling the peepers. They`re our tree frogs that peep at dusk & lull me to sleep. Sometimes they need a choir director to get them jump started.

Nope, I've been out trying to round up a frog that won't pee on me when I pick it up. I hate warts.

When I find one, I'm going to let my beard grow for a couple of days, muss my hair spectacularly, put on my scruffiest pair of trunks and take him over to the beach to test your theory that frogs are the way to a woman's heart.

Yeah, it would be a colossal waste of my time to have that frog kiss the Princess and get credit for all my hard work.

Sorry, I wanted to be able to respond to you, jwhop. I'm just in shock, a little. My boss and I just met for about an hour and a half (good, productive meeting). That, amongst other recent events has me feeling generous (Leo moon, of course I'm feeling generous).

Y'know, some women just like the beach bum look. Not me, but I'm sure they exist.

Who soon made an end of Uncle Rat.

Froggie jumped up to swim across the lake…

And soon was swallowed by a big black snake.

Hey, congrats on your raise Oxy. OK, since drinks are on you, make mine doubles

So, you're not into the beach bum look, who is? I plan to make myself as disreputable and unkempt looking as possible to test juniperbs theory that it's the magic in the frog and not me.

Froggie went a courting and he did ride -------
Yeah, I remember that song juniperb. Do you remember "Pluck your magic twanger froggie"?

Hope everyone had a nice evening. I went to my daughter's home for dinner and some rough housing with her cats, some mock fights on the floor followed by them jumping up in my lap and rubbing their heads on my chin followed by them curling up on my lap with some heavy duty contented purring. Got to know how to treat a Cat. But then, who would know better?

Hi folks!
Well, another weekend has come and nearly gone. Hope you all had a wonderful time.

Oxy! Great on the raise!! Congratulations.

My weekend: a little dancing on Friday. Worked all day Saturday, then went out with some friends. Not much drinking, I had to drive. But a great time...I had a really really nice weekend and it's like a magic wand, that Mars is no longer Rx. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but it seems to be true. Perhaps because this whole time, Mars has been conjunct my natal Mars in the 7th, and some other difficult aspects with the transit as well.

Anyway, it feels like the air is clearing and I for one am grateful!

juniperb, I've never seen that song before, what a hoot!

jwhop, playing with the kitties! I'm sure they recognized a kindred spirit!

Oxy, I hope you were able to celebrate your good fortune this weekend!

Sorry for the over-abundance of exclamation points but I feel great and wish I could give you all a group hug.

Nope juniperb the line isn't from a song, it's a famous line from the Buster Brown show featuring Froggie the Gremlin.

Maybe if you heard it?

Yeah trillian, the kitties seem to like me.

ROFLMBO jwhop My childhood was most cheated by not knowing Froggie the Gremlin or Midnight the Cat. What fun to listen & browse the site. It made a mundane Monday brighter!!!!! I thought Buster Brown was just a pair of ugly shoes

We didn`t have a tv until I was about 14 yrs old. My dad thought they rotted the brain & was addictive. Instead he supplied us with Zane Grey, Nancy Drew et al & reading was our enening entertainment. My first book report in 5th grade was on Riders of the Purple Sage .... ah the good ol days.

Thanks again!!! I it

You're right, Buster Brown shoes were incredibly, eternally and irredeemably ugly. Never had a pair myself.

Well, I never watched any of those children's shows myself---at least not on purpose. When I was over at friends houses and they turned on Sheriff John or one of the others, I got sick and had to go home--suddenly.

Zane Grey, think I read them all before I was 10 and there are a lot of Zane Grey westerns. My favorite fare on TV was Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello and Bugs Bunny cartoons. Think I'd still chose one of those or any of those over today's sitcoms.

Indeed, I'll go further and say "Bugs Bunny for President"
See, your father was right, TV does rot your brain.

Glad you enjoyed meeting Froggie the Gremlin

Back then I used to sneak over to my g/f and watch The Mouskateers. I always worried that my brain would start rotting & I`d eat tons of veggies to fix it. But I still can`t spell worth a darn so it didn`t work.Gee, I was so gullable

I still don`t watch much tv... I`ve seen too many brains wasted away on tv and in those boob tube lovers.

I refused to wear them shoes; they weighed a ton & were gross

Now sure, but it seems I read 30 of Greys books by the time I discovered John Steinbeck. Wow, to a 10-12 yr old, East of Eden & The grapes of Wrath was some titilating stuff.

Yup, loved ol Froggie The Gremlin.
