Silent night holy night, all is calm, all is bright

Is Oz really a town/city or village down under I never heard of it til I seen it on the 'where from' next to knowflakes name. I just thought it was from the Wizard of Oz & was cutesy like some of the rest.

Hey Juni. I think Oz is a colloquialism for Australia. You know, Aussie sounds like Ozzie, thus Oz-stralia.

Possibly my singing cleared the house?

It's quarter to three, there's no one in the place
Except you and me
So set 'em' up Joe, I got a little story
I think you should know
We're drinking my friend, to the end
Of a brief episode
Make it one for my baby
And one more for the road

This old house once knew its Oxychick
This old house once knew its jwhop
This old house was home and comfort
As they fought the storms of life

This old house once rang with laughter
This old house heard many shouts
Now it trembles in the darkness
When the lightning walks about

I`m just rattling around in this ol house looking for ya`ll. I think I hear ghosts rattling around with me

Juniperb! too funny! Sorry, must have been "fighting the storms of life" kidding..nothing that serious, but I've been a little swamped lately. Any earth signs want to teach a poor Aquarius Sun/Gemini Rising girl some time management skills?

Here we go again...paging J.W...J.W., come in!

Nah, those aren't ghosts, it's just grandpop cracking his knuckles.

How was everyone's weekend? I actually got away to Paradise Lite ----the East coast of Florida for a long weekend.

Hey all...just popped on to see how everyone is these days...weathering the Harmonic Concordance and all...
I had a martini stuffed with olives the other night and thought of this thread!

Yum, Trillian! Sounds wonderful. hehe Saturday I am going to have my share of dirty martinis as my friend and I are taking a day trip out of state to visit an art show. Near the gallery is one of my favorite restaurants (and this restaurant has a BOOK of martinis)....mmm...I can almost taste the salty goodness now.

Weathering it fine (although I suspect juniperb may have some good weather stories). Just the usual stressors...and some rather lovely stress relievers.

I think J.W.'s been playing leapfrog....rrrribbit...

How are you?

Oxy, have fun, that sounds like such a great time! Please tell us all about it. My weekend plans are simple, dinner with a friend this evening, tomorrow I have some work, then meeting a few friends in the late afternoon for pool and beer and probably bar food! Can't drink much though, as I will be driving.

Personally, I have had up and down moments since the HC. In fact, last weekend was emotionally tumultuous and the after shocks are still registering.

I hope you all are doing well--have a wonderful weekend!

Jwhop, Arnold could never run for President, right, since he's not a natural-born citizen? Do you think there might be an Amendment to change that at some point?

Hi Randall

No, Arnold could not be President as the Constitution now stands.

Article I, Section 2 is crystal clear.

"No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States."

Now, I'm sure a lot of people think that's so unfair that Arnold can't ever be President and will attempt to amend Article I, Section 2. After all, there's probably an equal number who bemoan the fact Fidel Castro, Ho Chi Min, Kim Jong-Il. et al. can't ever aspire to the Presidency either. Count Jane Fonda amongst their number.

Ahnold for president

Hey Trillian, the art show and day trip were a lot of fun! We went to Philadelphia and it was absolutely beautiful. We had Philly cheese steak sandwiches, of course, and then martinis. I had two birthdays this week and wound up on a famous Virgo celebrity's property late Friday night. Are you feeling better? More settled since the HC?

Juniperb...have you dug yourself out of the snow?

j.w., I can just see you playing with 50 kids! hehe, but you know it's not nice to steal candy from them.

You mean that old saying "easy as taking candy from a baby" doesn't sanction the activity?

Oxychick...the art show sounds wonderful. It's been too long since I've been to one, living out here in the sticks. *sigh* So glad you had a good time!

Things are settling...the cats are cohabitating pretty well...the bombshell dropped during the HC is...developing interestingly! Don't know how else to phrase that!

juniperb, so glad you are back with us. Missed you much.
But you guys can count me out of strip poker! I play too poorly!
