I noticed that also Rainbow. You have not ever called anyone here a name. I thought to myself "I don't remember Rainbow ever calling anyone names....what a childish thing to do." But it's okay for them to do it to you. Remember - you are the "bad guy". They will try and tell you this 'til you believe it too. Don't let it get to you. Saying someone is "acting" ugly is quite different from calling them ugly. I would never attack your physical appearance as that is just cruel. Now, there have been times when "cruel", "rude", "evil"..etc...have all been used to describe posters here, on this forum, concerning the manner in which they get their point across. Attacking ones statement in a "point counter point" manner is not attacking ones personal character. Some still miss the point. It is as though one or two people can keep attacking yet a response to that attack is what is highlighted. Hmmm, that is hypocritical to say the least. IP: Logged |

You know Lioneye..you are 100% right. No where in the thread that Proxie posted did it insinuate that the "evil poopy heads" were from the right. But, Rainbow took it upon herself to ascribe that epithet to those that do not mimic her beliefs. The HUGE graphics and "in your face" style employed by certain people is just as blatant and calling someone out for being rude or using ugly tactics. In the same respect, 25taurus, while I admire your beliefs, I do not think there is ONE conservative here hell bent on making liberals into demons or trying to pound you into the ground and make you believe you are such. When I read the comic posted by Proxie I saw ALL people from ALL sides falling into that way of thinking from time to time. I did not, as some here just did, think it was only in regards to the left. You know...you guys are such "knee jerk" reactors....that you can't even appreciate a little humor...That's what the "poophead" thingy was about...I KNOW that Proxie said it was not intended for either left or right...I CAN READ.. Yeah! I noticed that, lioneye... and what's more ...(not that I need to) but I explained to you ONCE already, that I had bad eyesight and that's why I was using the bold letters...because I was having a hard time seeing...*sigh*...(not that I really NEEDED to explain) But I have since learned how to change the text size (only for me), and so haven't been doing the "bold" thing lately...but did you stop to notice?..... AND I didn't realize the little violin playing guy was such a source of irritation to you....actually, I thought it was kind of cute...but since it has a tendency to make you upset...I will refrain from inserting my little smiley people anymore... I have YET to see a smiley that could enrage me, tho! *sigh* (and someone had the kohenies to call ME petty!) I'm game to call a truce....if you are... If not...that's okay too...

Your "in your face" formatting is suspiciously used most often when you're responding to something or someone you don't agree with, or shoving your opinions down some else's throat. (oh yeah, of course, and also when you're getting your high-fives and having a mutual ego-stroking session.) And the violin playing smiley. Is he serenading out of love? NOT. It means "cry me a river" or something to that effect, intended to MOCK the post or poster your responding to. Cut the "oh, innocent persecuted little me" routine. Oh yes...I'll do that, and I've done that, but dammit if YOU single me out as the only one in here who does, then your line of vision is very narrow indeed! I'm pretty sick and tired of all the Rainbow Bashing on this thread....I have as much right to be here as you, and I have as much right to express my opinions as you, and just because you don't like them should not give you the right to belittle me...and if anyone follows these threads, they'll see that's exactly what's going on!!! I post an article that I find relevant or express an opinion....AND ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE! Randall has not made this a "police state forum" yet, where if I dont' say and think exactly what you do, I get arrested (thank god, Randall!)...but if that's the mindset here (and I don't mean ALL of you), then yes, George W Bush is your man. Nobody belittled you. You were called on your tendancy to belittle others, and also, the arbitrary hostility that comes across in your posts.At least that's my perception. But, you know what? It doesn't matter anymore. Let's just all try to post in a civilized manner, with consideration for the views of others, even if we don't agree with them. Hostility tends to snow-ball really quickly in a forum like this.

If you can point out to me, where I "belittled someone" (other than Bush and his cronies), I'll be happy to apologize... I think we should all follow the rules (I'm NOT being facetious)...but maybe I don't understand them.... I notice that jwhop likes to post articles he finds on the net...I do too.... His articles always give a point of view FROM THE RIGHT...and mine give a point of vew FROM THE LEFT....this seems "fair and balanced" to me.. ..yet...yet when he posts his articles and opinions "all is right with the world," and as I said before...when I post mine...all hell breaks loose.....WHY IS THAT? I'm not sure what it's going to take for me to be accepted in here..but if it means cowering to bullies who don't like what I say, then I guess I WON'T be accepted.... PLEASE ALLOW ME....TO BE ME....

I post an opinion and I'm hostile.... Well come to think of it, is there a law against being hostile. Have not you, Pid and Isis been hostile toward me? Can you tell me why you feel I'm not allowed to have an opinion here???? Am I only going to be allowed to post, if I don't do these things anymore? Must I buckle under, and say only "nice" things about the Bush Administration and the war?? Do you guys really think I could do that in good conscience? I couldn't live with myself if I were to turn into a "wussy YES man." Is that what it's going to take to be accepted in here ?

This can go back and forth again and again. Rainbow it was already pointed out to you and you acknowledged it, then you back peddled, then you turned indigent, then you became self-righteous, then condescending, then forceful...You have flip-flopped so many times and gotten away from the issue. The point is - there are those of us that find you to be exactly what we said- get over it. You have your cheerleaders, there are some that think you hung the moon and that is cool. No one said you can't post what you want, but you NEED to be prepared to be called on the carpet when you so something along the lines of which was already pointed out to you a million times (that is an exaggeration..I know, so please refrain from pointing it out).
The crux of the matter is that you will NEVER see yourself as being in the wrong. So leave it at that. All the examples, which have been posted up and down this damn thread along those that are included in another thread...will be ignored by you.

Am I SUPPOSED to see myself in the wrong? Is this like those torture chambers where people are pulled apart "until they see themselve in the wrong?" Okay...I'm not all that brave....
